    22. The Art of Animation, signed by Walt Disney and eight of Disney's "Nine Old Men".

    Disney, Walt. (1901-1966) The Art of Animation: The Story of the Disney Studio Contribution to a New Art. Written by Bob Thomas. Simon and Schuster, New York, (1958). Quarto. First Edition. Illustrated paper covered boards over cloth spine lettered in red and black. Signed on the recto of the front free endpaper in black ink in broad, sweeping strokes by Walt Disney as well as eight of Disney's "Nine Old Men": Ollie Johnston (twice), Frank Thomas (twice), Les Clark, John Lounsbery, Eric Larson (twice), Ward Kimball (twice), Milt Kahl (twice), Marc Davis (twice). Additionally signed by 61 directors and animators underneath their respective photographs. Lower boards rubbed through, dust jacket shows chipping and delamination. Very Good. Housed in a custom red cloth slipcase. $2,000 $3,000

    I am going to bet that Through the Looking Glass beats its estimate by quite a bit. I don't think the Ian Fleming stuff will meet its estimate because I think that the target market for the James Bond stuff is shrinking.

    I don't know, MC. If I had the money...I'd be more than happy to pay that for the Fleming books. But, then...I'm a HUGE fan.
    I'd esp love to have that copy of "On her majesty's secret service". Very endearing inscription.
