Exclamation Stephen King announces 8th book in The Dark Tower series

    From StephenKing.com...

"Stephen has announced that he has an idea for a new Dark Tower book, the working title of which will be THE WIND THROUGH THE KEYHOLE. He has not yet started this book and anticipates that it will be a minimum of eight months before he is able to begin writing it."
This is somewhat old news as it was posted back in November but for anyone who is a Dark Tower fan like myself, this is very exciting to hear.

From what I've heard, it's supposed to take place between "Wizard & Glass" and "Wolves...". SO looking forward to it.

Hmmm, interesting placement for the new story. Wonder how he is going to pull that off.

My guess would be involving more side characters but we'll see. Either way, I'm sure it'll be good. King knows how much this whole series means to the fans so I couldn't see him doing just an "average" job on this.

I heard it was a prequel, it would be about a much younger Roland and his fellow-man, Childe Allgood scouting about Mid-World hunting a rouge "skin-man"(Shape shifter).

Still I'm more excited for Doctor Sleep.

    WHAAAA???

This is the first I've heard of this!

I've read the entire Dark Tower series and every one of King's books that is related to the Dark Tower series. Crap I'm so far behind on my reading as it is (I got like 3 books I haven't touched in YEARS... they're just sitting there). Man I need to get into a reading mood. I've had "Duma Key" for a year or 2 and I'm not even half done. Last time I picked it up was in November. GAH!

I loved the Dark Tower series (mostly) and am excited to hear this news! Another addition to the series will be most welcome.

Re: Stephen King announces 8th book in The Dark Tower series

Totally geeking out! I like that the story is neatly tied up, even if the ending was difficult to swallow. I will read it no matter which part of the story he ends up expanding.

I have to check the list to see which books I have left to read to complete the geek quest of finishing all the Dark Tower connected books.
Anything listed on the park maps as an attraction is fair game for inclusion in the Rally.
I cannot confirm nor deny the inclusion of any attraction in the Rally.

I've read most of the connected books but I know I have a few more to read. Although, I read them all before reading The Dark Tower so I would like to read them again now that I have read the series.
