    Same here
    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

Haven't read these yet, but am officially intrigued. I've been looking for a good fiction series since finishing The Uglies trilogy. Thanks for the recommendations on this one!

Our revels now are ended. These our actors, As I foretold you, were all spirits and Are melted into air, into thin air: And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself, Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff As dreams are made on, and our little life Is rounded with a sleep. mycroft16 on Twitter

You know I heard somewhere they were making a movie of this (I can't remember where, though, sorry ). I think I'm going to have to start getting into the series: everyone I know who's read it RAVES about it like no tomorrow.

I really liked "The Uglies" series...

I just finished "Mockingjay." I started the series last week. I liked the ending because I felt like it couldn't have this overly big romantic ka-pow ending. These kids have fought to the death time and time again, and this felt right. I re-read the ending this morning and I was crying.

    Thanks for bumping this thread!

OMG, I loved Mockingjay. I thought it was brilliant. There were quite a few parts that made me cry, and I agree with you about the ending-- there was only one person that Katniss could ever be with after what she went through.

Mockinjay left me completely shattered. I was actually physically exhausted after I finished it! I was so impressed with the conclusion to the series, it was brilliant.

^^^On the day the book came out, Sunnyg and I went out to breakfast and then stood in front of the bookstore for 30 minutes waiting for it to open. We're good friends and all, but I don't think we could have wanted to ditch each other more than the moment we had the books in our hands!

I didn't know you guys were such big dorks (in the best possible way) that you'd wait for books in line...

There was only one thing that had me absolutely "WTF?!"ing about, I read it like four times and I was there thinking "no, they can't do that..."
    Spoiler
when Prim died and then later when it was revealed that Gale was the one who designed the weapons
. From that point on... I was like "Uh..." and then how the mom reacted...
