Thank you Snorks I was shocked by the lack of trees, and the 15 cent popcorn was a trip as well.

Thanks for sharing that wonderful book.

Disneyland is a special place, and when I think of all the people who have visited it since opening day in 1955 it just makes me smile. It has brought a lot of happiness to a lot of people, and hopefully that will never stop.

You know I think of that quite often, after were all long gone what will the parks become? Most of the people in these books are long gone except the kids of course. Its amazing how time flies.

Great to see that. Are you sure about the date? I believe that the Subs and Matterhorn weren't there until 1969.

Eddie: You mean to tell me you could have taken your hand out of those cuffs at any time?
Roger: Not at any time. Only when it's funny.

It's entertaining seeing the large area devoted to the Haunted Mansion -- which wouldn't open for another 5 years after this book was published -- and no references to Pirates of the Caribbean nor New Orleans Square.

So from what I have found, they started building the Haunted Mansion in 1959? But didint finish until 1966. Is this true and what took so long?
