Coachella has for me, DEVO, PIL Echo and the Bunnymen, Camera Obscura and Thom Yorke. Those would have been my main goals, then I would have a lot of other choices to fill in the time... If I was going that is. Sasquatch has TMBG and Camera Obscura as well as some comics and lots else that is interesting... Really a tough call
Coachella for sure. Sasquatch comes in second as far as festival lineups go (i'm looking at you Bonnaroo). The crowds at Coachella this year were the worst ever in terms of amount (75,000 official admissions a day, estimated 8000 sneaking in) and it made more than a few a bit cranky when it came to watching acts on the Outdoor stage which at times seemed like another main stage. The magic and music took over though and i was left with "The Best and Worst Coachella".
The Gorge (Sasquatch) is incredible and you could just sit on the slope and watch it all day as the colors change. Seeing acts there is better for shorter people because of that slope, but it can be rough on your knees after a few days. Food kinda blows. Coachella is nice and flat on a lovely polo field, the variety of food is most pleasing and the art displays turn it into a wonderland (something Sasquatch is desperately lacking).
Coachella is close to civilization and that means staying in hotels and houses if you choose not to camp. Sasquatch is very limited in that respect and unless you want to stay an hour away, you're pretty much camping if you didn't get the few rooms close by.
Coachella weather is hot, but pretty much predictable. It can rain buckets out of the blue at Sasquatch.
