It's expensive, but it's worth 10 or 20 other Disneyland books put together.
I've heard nothing but great thing about this book, but I can't seem to find it at the parks. Do you know if it is sold there or if I have to go online to find it? Thanks.

DLfan, it's been out of print for some time, and both the authors have passed away. You can find it cheapest on Amazon (if you consider $195 cheap). I've seen it well over $1,000 on other sites.

    I'd also check Ebay occasionally.

Yes, as I wrote, "out of print for some time."

It's a full-color book (every page is in color--except the pages dealing with black-and-white post cards), and the information it packs in about the Park's history is simply astounding. Want to know the names of all the Viewliner cars (both the Tomorrowland side and the Fantasyland side)? Want to read some of the best Jugle Cruise jokes? Want to see what each land's official dedication was? It's all there, with literally hundreds of photos.

    Re: Best Disneyland Books

Most Disney books have come back for more editions but this one remains incredibly hard to find. I can still recall the days I was looking at it and saying "I'll get it on sale or something".

hahahhahaha oh those were the days. Now I buy my disney books the moment they come out. I've only encountered heavy duty Disney books on sale on rare occasion (Illusion of Life, Art of Pocahontas, Art of Fantasia 2000, Art of Bolt).

Re: Best Disney Theme Park Books

I know this thread began as a Disneyland book thread but decided to move this into the general book area to allow all Theme Park books into the discussion.

Today I went off the beaten path and checked out old collectible shops to see what gems I could find. I found this book for $10

It's a heavy duty hardback book from 1982 full of artwork and text about the making of Epcot. With a chapter on each pavilion and showcase.

    Can't wait to read it!
