This morning I received the new WDI book. It's great. I also have the first one and I'm glad that it isn't just an updated version.
Unfortunately this book doesn't contain a lot of Disneyland Paris. I know that WDS isn't a great park and I'm sure that WDI isn't very proud of it, but it improved in the last years. It would have been great to read something about Crush's Coaster or about the Lights, Motors, Action Stuntshow.

They do have a page about Crush's Coaster but you're right... overall, not a whole lot devoted to that park. I think the first book spent a good deal on Paris though and the Studios Park isn't quite Imagineering's finest.

I have already found the pages about Crush's Coaster and there is also concept art about TSPL in WDS in the book.
I'm glad that there is so much about Tokyo in this book, but I expected a little bit more about the California Adventure makeover.
One last question. As I have already mentioned I also own the first book. The first one has a soft cover and the new one a hard cover. Do I have a reprint of the first WDI book?

You do indeed have a reprint of the first book. The first edition was hard back.
