Since its the end of the year lets talk about our favorite songs and music that has been what we have been listening to this year.

My Top 10 Favorite Songs of this year!!!

4) Iridescent (By Linkin Park, the only new song I liked)
3) Fury Walls (Infant Sorrow Aka the guy who Married Katy Perry)
2) Airplanes (B.O.B and Hayley Williams of Paramore)

My Top 3 Sounds Tracks are
Tangled (We need more movies like this Disney)
Tron (Daft Punk did a GREAT job bring the music alive)
Inception (BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM)

Nice list, and if one wanted to know... According to Apple & Billboard, Train's Hey Soul Sister is the most selling track of all of 2010 (source: 'Hey Soul Sister' iTunes best-selling single of 2010 – The Marquee Blog - CNN.com Blogs)

...and Lady Antebellum had the best selling album of 2010, a country album! (source: 'Need You Now' Top-Selling Album of 2010)

Last but not least. Michael Jackson made another milestone. He did the impossible as usual, and made more money then any artist on the planet in 2010, "dead or alive" (even bigger than Oprah, according to Forbes/Source: Michael Jackson Becomes The Highest Earning Dead Celebrity « Hip-Hop Wired) making more then $275 million in less then a year in 2010 by mid year of 2010. More then Elvis Presley made in 15 years after his death, and more then any live act like U2 or AC/DC (to name a few) in recent/modern times!

I liked Irridecent and The Catalyst from Linkin Park.

I like most of the Thousand Suns album as I was impressed and happy that LP had the ability and courage to go a different direction with their music rather than continue with the same kind of stuff that sounds just like their first two or three releases.

^good for them but I hated the album. I'm just not into what they were singing about.....or rather rapping about in most songs. I loved Linkin Parks old songs because each one had REAL meaning and could be used for for a Music Video for almost ANYTHING......these new songs are just not what I want as a fan...yeah its cool to TRY stuff but don't leave your fan bases behind....were the ones who got you to be where you are.

Even if that "fan base" isn't enough to keep you afloat in the music world? OK. For me, music isn't about it being usable for fan videos on any topic (although I really do like the Star Wars Old Republic video mashed with The Catalyst), it should be about doing good music and not the same thing over and over. If a "fan base" is stuck in a certain mode and can't get into other sounds except one specific type, why should the band sink because they can't expand their style and maybe broaden their appeal (and probably pick up other fans) rather than keep it narrow. I stopped buying LP CDs after their 2nd because they sounded the same. For me anyway they had a "been there done that" feel and so when I heard Thousand Suns I decided to buy it because it was different.

But, it is music, which is a deeply personal thing, so basically, to each their own. Sorry you didn't like it, better luck next album I guess.

This is a year where not much new music really got my attention. But a few did...

Katy Perry - California Gurls (not a fan of hers really, but this song is fun and catchy... was a good summer tune)
