I have to say my favorite disney song is wish upon a star. I am originally from England and did not go to disneyland for the first time till 2002. My wife and myself caught the parade at the time and wish upon a star was playing I started crying like a 2 year old. I was just so over come with emotion. Thats when I finally got disney. To envoke such feelings of pure joy in a 22 year old male at the time takes something.
Another vote for "When You Wish Upon a Star." That about sums up the whole Disney experience for me. It's all about dreams, wishes, and getting lost in a world of fantasy. And it's all right there in that song. Still the song that brings out the most emotion for me too, Callaghan.
Mine comes from my most favorite Disney animated film ever, Pinocchio. The beautiful “When You Wish Upon A Star.” Yes, it's popular. Yes, it's ranked the 7th 100 Greatest Songs in film history. Yes, it's the highest ranked Disney animated film song ever, and there's a reason.
It's almost like a national anthem for the man who created the impossible, and for any dreamer. “When You Wish Upon A Star” is just a classic. One just simply cannot listen to it and feel anything but virtuous about things. I mean really, what other song illustrates the gentle innocence and beauty of dreams and wishes better?
