I don't know why, but I've had their classic song "White Punks on Dope" running through my head for a week now. I think it's because of the current crop of presidential candidates.
They were one of the best live shows I've ever seen, right up there with ELO, Blue Oyster Cult and Pink Floyd. To see them in their heyday was an experience.
Never saw them, but remember She's A Beauty pretty well. Catchy song.

I also like "She's a Beauty" too.
I was just a casual fan of them, loved She's a Beauty, Talk to Ya Later, and liked their part in the song Dancin from Xanadu.

That one was probably my favorite Tubes song.
I didn't know they did the "Dancin" song in Xanadu! That was one of my most favorite scenes from the movie.
Had to finally break down tonight and buy the song Dancin from the iTunes store, since I couldn't get that damn song out of my head after hearing it earlier tonight when I was leaving Universal Studios Florida. They play it up in the front of the park, near the entrance/exit as you exit every night after the 360 night time show.

When I worked at KLOS we played softball against the Tubes - of course they put the girls in the outfield, but that was okay cause I caught a line drive from Praire Prince!!! I've seen them in concert a few times - we hung out with them at the concert the night of the softball game - I'll find my pix of me and Fee and Prarie and post them - <if I can figure out how to post them> - Oh and one of the best concerts I've ever seen!
