A favor to ask concerning Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

Well, just to make an urgent announcement, I HIGHLY suggest that nobody does an Internet search for anything including "Harry Potter" or any part of the title of the book.

Good advise Twist. I think I may go media free until I finish the book. That won't be too hard since my kids control the TV and I will be busy reading the book. Unfortunitly, I go to work on Saturday at BN. Hopefully no idiot will come in with spoilers. Maybe I will walk around with hot coffee all day in case I need to accidently spill some on idiots like that.

Hi Micechatters, I have a favor to ask. As you probably know, the last Harry Potter book comes out this Saturday. This will be the book that decides Harry's fate. The debate is whether Harry lives or dies and who else will die. What I would like to ask of all of you is to please don't post spoilers in the thread titles. I heard of one site (not this one) where a chatter posted the main spoil of book 6 in his/her title. Another person signed up to join a chat page and his/her name was the spoiler.

So please, be considerate of others when it comes to this book. I know that 99% of you would never do anything mean like that. But maybe 1% would think it was funny.

I know I could stop visiting MiceChat until I am done with the book, but I love this site and don't want to lose my link to all things Disney, even for a week!

I myself am doing my best to stay out of anything related to Harry Potter except for what's here on MiceChat. I've avoided Leaky Cauldron, Mugglenet, podcasts, everything......just in case!

I think they ought to pass a law that if anyone comes up to a line of people waiting for the last book to come out and spoils the book, that the people in line should be able to do whatever they want to that person.

I can just see some jerkwad doing it. If Adva Kedabra was real I think said person would be hit with that spell dozens of times in a few seconds.

Mugglenet is not- on their comments section on some articles they have huge red warnings that they may contain spoilers.

usually if they say may conatain spoilers, its commen knowledge stuff, much like when the movie was coming. if you've read the book you know...

but leaky is for sure safe.

These were all comments regarding the leaked book- so no, I would not say it is safe common knowledge.

So no- Mugglenet is not spoiler proof.....just beware.
