Saw it for the second time on Wednesday via the ticket lottery, and saw Tony Baxter there that night as well. So glad it's here.
I'm going to finish the book tonight (50 pages to go) and ill buy my tickets this month for a October or November show.

Only one week until I finally see Wicked!!!
Yay! It's a great show. My coworker and I are going again, and taking the backstage tour. I can hardly wait!

My wife and I saw the show last week and I can't get the songs out of my head. I literally wake up with one of the songs in my head and can go hours before a new one takes over. Luckily, I enjoyed the musical and the music in it so it's not too bad.

I have the music in my head, too! We saw it the end of August. I do have the soundtrack in one of the cars, so I guess I have an excuse for its longevity.![]()

Well... if you're taking the Behind the Emerald Curtain tour, you don't actually go backstage. They show a short film about the making of the show, then show props, costumes from the show. The highlight being that the tour is conducted by cast members who can answer all of your questions. In New York I think they take you into the auditorium. I'm not sure if they do that at the Pantages.
Have fun!

I sure hope we get backstage!!!!!!!!!!!! I really really want to get backstage. It'd be cool to meet the cast, because Eden Espinoza and Megan Hilty are *amazing* talents, but still I'm a stage-rat, so I want to be behind the scenes.

You actually don't need to necessarily go backstage to meet them.
I was able to see the play over my spring break and after the play, head outside, turn to your left once you get to the street, then at that corner, turn left around the building and you'll get to the stage door entrance. You'll have to wait a bit (it was about 15 minutes or so for me) and the actors will come out and sign autographs and take pictures and whatnot.
I was able to get pictures and autographs from/with Megan Hilty, Eden Espinosa, Kristofer Cusick, Adam Wylie, and Jenna Leigh Green.
They were all so amazingly nice!
For certain you must be lost to find the places that can't be found. Elseways, everyone would know where it was.
It's the backstage part that I'm more excited about. Meeting the actor/singers will be nice, but I really want to see the set.

http://www.playbill.com/news/article/111945.htmlThe Nov. 1 broadcast of the award-winning ABC comedy "Ugly Betty" will feature scenes filmed on location at the Pantages Theatre, current home of the Los Angeles production of Wicked.

"Betty and Henry continue their illicit romance," read "Ugly Betty" press notes, "and plan a secret date to the Broadway musical Wicked. But things don't go as planned when Daniel, thinking Betty's dating Gio (guest star Freddy Rodriguez), gives her tickets for the two of them instead - tickets which Gio refuses to give up."

I was lucky enough to see Wicked twice in NYC. The first time was the original cast minus Norbert Leo Butz (he was out with a back injury). We had to "suffer" through Taye Diggs as Fiyero. The second time was Idina and Norbert's last show... it was also billed as Joel Grey's last show although he didn't actually perform, he was too sick at that point. Watching Chenowith and Menzel do their last show together was incredible... For Good had almost the entire audience in tears! I have to say though getting to see Joel Grey perform was the absolute highlight for me.
I've seen Wicked at the Pantages. I saw it August 22, 7th row orchestra. It was insane! I loved it so much that I'm going back to take my sister for Christmas! I can't wait to see Eden Espinosa and Megan Hilty again, or at least Megan! It's incredible and if you all have a chance to see it, do!
Dream a fantastic dream...
