Copies of HP and Deathly Hallows sold with many pages missing!

Some Potter fans find pages missing

Did any of you get one of these copies? My co-worker did, he bought his book through Amazon.com. And the DHL delivery guy said that it was on the news that lots of copies were sold with the pages in one of the last chapters missing. I haven't gotten the book yet as I still need to read Half Blood Prince but wow...there must have been alot of very upset fans.

P.S. Sorry if this is being discussed in one of the HP threads but I'm not going to venture in there. I haven't even started Half Blood Prince and a co-worker of mine has already opened his trap and spoiled a HUGE part of Book 6 for me...so I dare not go into a HP spoiler thread.

I heard about that. What amazes me is how people think they have a collectors item and they can resale it for big buick. Books missing pages are not a collectors's item.

I have the Millenium Edition of the Guiness Book of World Records with the pages printed upside down incorrectly, is that worth something? LOL

Seriously though? I would just exchange it.

It's no surprise that it happened. Scholastic did print 12 million copies. Our store got a few with Rowling's name half printed. It was suppose to be in red on the cover, and only the top half of the letters were colored in. We sent them all back as damaged. Nobody will want those.

Sounds like a big quality-control issue. Nobody would want an incomplete book, no matter what your goals in buying it. I'll have to check mine.

While I wasn't missing pages, I noticed that a great majority of the right hand side pages were slanted.

If you find you have a bad copy or HP, I would bring it back to the store you got it and get a new one. I know my store would let you exchange it with no problem and we now have plenty of copies.

It's not that bad. It just my eyes more crossed than they would have been opening night.
