How many shows in Philly?

iTunes has Radio Nowhere for free now-
My first one was in KC in 1981 for The River. Lately i've just been seeing him in Phoenix, but besides LA, i also caught the Vegas show over Memorial Day weekend 7 years ago - i've seen 8 shows total. It definitely would be nice to see him back east or in Eurpoe!

I listened to "Radio Nowhere." I'll need a few more to get used to it and understand the lyrics. Wife says it's a statement about stations like JackFM that don't have live DJs -- only a loop of voiceovers with a smirky sentence about how cool they are.
"JackFM: we know you're listening; you can't help it; our research of exactly which songs to play at any moment of the day proves it; submit to Ra the Sun God...."
(Another thing that bothers me about Jack is that montage of songs they play between songs and call-letter ID. Note to Jack: I switch the station for 20 seconds when I hear it.)
"Here You Leave the World of California Today and Enter the World of, um, er, California Today."
My Bruce bragging moments:
1. Going to MSG with Jersey buddy and witnessing "E-Street Shuffle" live for the first time in 20+ years. (Along with getting to see/hear "41 Shots" and "Code of Silence."
2. My brother-in-law, on his motorcycle, getting cut off by Bruce in Hollywood.
3. My wife's hand touching Bruce's in a photo in BackStreets Magazine.
"Here You Leave the World of California Today and Enter the World of, um, er, California Today."
I was tryin' to find my way home
But all I heard was a drone
Bouncing off a satellite
Crushin' the last lone American night
This is radio nowhere, is there anybody alive out there?
This is radio nowhere, is there anybody alive out there?
I was spinnin' 'round a dead dial
Just another lost number in a file
Dancin' down a dark hole
Just searchin' for a world with some soul
This is radio nowhere, is there anybody alive out there?
This is radio nowhere, is there anybody alive out there?
Is there anybody alive out there?
I just want to hear some rhythm
I just want to hear some rhythm
I just want to hear some rhythm
I just want to hear some rhythm
I want a thousand guitars
I want pounding drums
I want a million different voices speaking in tongues
This is radio nowhere, is there anybody alive out there?
This is radio nowhere, is there anybody alive out there?
Is there anybody alive out there?
I was driving through the misty rain
Searchin' for a mystery train
Boppin' through the wild blue
Tryin' to make a connection to you
This is radio nowhere, is there anybody alive out there?
This is radio nowhere, is there anybody alive out there?
Is there anybody alive out there?
I just want to feel some rhythm
I just want to feel some rhythm
I just want to feel your rhythm
I just want to feel your rhythm
I just want to feel your rhythm
I just want to feel your rhythm
I just want to feel your rhythm
I just want to feel your rhythm

Rather credit the Jack format (thanks alot Kevin Weatherly) it sounds to me like a companion piece to '57 Channels (and nothin' on)'. Lovin' it though!

And knowing Philadelphians and their love for The Boss, they'll add more shows like three, four...

Problem is, they think the song is called "Road to Nowhere." As any self-respecting Springsteen fan knows, the tune is "Radio Nowhere."
Amazon.com will webcast the video for 24 hours while takign pre-orders for the disc at $9.99.Later in the month, on Sept. 28, Springsteen and the E Street Band will perform live on NBC's "Today" show at Rockefeller Plaza.
Five years ago, Springsteen and the E Streeters performed on "Today," but the show made the trek down to Asbury Park, NJ.

If you hear of any album listening parties, please post them here. Thanks!
I went to hear "The Rising" on Ventura Blvd in Studio City. Good collection of the people I see at every concert. (Don't know who they are, but I see them every time.) Gal who used to run the She's The One shop in Venice. Some guy I met selling bootlegs way back in the early 1980's.

Do you guys think he'll play any old stuff on his tour?
What old stuff?
OK, actually I mean, which old stuff? He's got so much that it will be hard to shoehorn in most of his standards like:
1. Four songs from Darkness;
2. Three from Born to Run;
3. Two from The River;
4. Three from Born in the USA, etc.
That's twelve out of a typical 20-24-song playlist.
Bruce will try to work in songs whose themes blend well with the new album's songs' themes. No idea about the new songs. I can go a night without Badlands, Promise Land, Born to Run, Prove it All Night, etc. I've seen those so many times, and there's not much difference, and it seems that the band sleepwalks through them.
Give me:
1. Out on the Street (love how the band and the crowd gets into this)
2. Incident on 57th Street
3. E-Street Shuffle
4. 4th of July, Asbury Park (by now you might guess which album is my favorite).
5. Sherry Darling.
6. Worlds Apart, with real ulelers.
7. Youngstown, with Nils Lofgren's blazing solo.
8. Spare Parts.
9. If I should Fall Behind.
10. Bobby Jean.
11. Paradise.
12. 41 Shots
13. Code of Silence.
14. Highway Patrolman.
Just threw these together, not as an "ultimate playlist" or anything (that would take some thought), but as songs I want to hear live.
"Here You Leave the World of California Today and Enter the World of, um, er, California Today."
i'm sure there'll be a good assortment of old stuff .......
but what i'm hoping for is an E Street rendition of a SSB song or three, like 'John Henry' and "Pay Me My Money Down" for instance.
