    What do you read?

I was just wondering what kinds of things you readers like to read. Fiction or non-fiction? Biographies, fantasy? By what authors?

I usually can't read a lot of non-fiction, but lately, I've been getting into it more. I just bought this wonderful book called That's Not in My American History Book by Thomas Ayres. It has a lot of interesting stories. I like reading some of the classics, mainly by the Brontes. Charlotte is, of course, my favorite. Then most of what I read is historical fiction, except for the Left Behind series, which I'm just finishing up. The only fantasy I read are books by C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien, whose books I love. And even though I've only read a couple, movie companions are also interesting.

What do you like to read? I'm adding a poll just because I'm curious, but I'm not adding smaller genres because most people could probably pick more than one.

You're wrong, Brer Rabbit, why would I want to be home when I can be at Disneyland?!?

It all depends. For fun I usually read fiction. But more often than not I am reading a tech book on how to do something with Photoshop or the like.

Sorry, I don't know how to add that to the poll (or if I can.) I guess I was thinking more about which one you read more often when I only put three options in it.

I read both, but I read 98% more non-fiction than fiction.

No worries. Not counting text books, I read more fiction overall.

The vast majority of my library is non-fiction, with a strong emphasis on Disney. Currently I am reading The Stories of English by David Crystal and Building a Company: Roy O. Disney and the Creation of an Entertainment Empire by Bob Thomas.

    Fixed.

I read mostly fiction. The majority of books that I read and collect are Sci Fi and Fantasy books. Occasionally if something looks interesting in the non fiction catagory I might read it, but it has to be something really amazing.

    Re: What do you read?

I mostly read fiction. I am a big fan of Star Wars books and of comicbooks in general. I collect a lot of titles. My favorite authors include Alan Moore, Neil Gaiman, Susanna Clarke, JK Rowling, Kurt Busiek, and others.

I do read some non-fiction, like Walt Disney: Triumph of the American Imagination and Devil in the White City.

    Re: What do you read?

I read any and all genres except horror and the really trashy romance novels. I hate being scared and there isn't a plot when the people are half naked (or more) on the cover of the book.

I love, love, love to read. I am a very fast reader and I generally average 3-4 books a week during the school year. I always have a stack of books to read and I generally am reading 4 or 5 books at the same time, in all different genres.
