    Do you remember.....

...... the 21st night of September.

Yes, one of my favorite date-specific songs is todays song. Got any date specific songs you favor? I love this one because it means Autumn is here, which means cooler temps and falling leaves.

    Earth, Wind and Fire
    September

Do you remember the 21st night of September?
Love was changing the minds of pretenders
    While chasing the clouds away

    Our hearts were ringing
In the key that our souls were singing.
As we danced in the night,
Remember how the stars stole the night away

Ba de ya - say do you remember
Ba de ya - dancing in September
Ba de ya - never was a cloudy day

    My thoughts are with you
Holding hands with your heart to see you
    Only blue talk and love,
Remember how we knew love was here to stay

Now December found the love that we shared in September.
    Only blue talk and love,
Remember the true love we share today

Ba de ya - say do you remember
Ba de ya - dancing in September
Ba de ya - never was a cloudy day

Ba de ya - say do you remember
Ba de ya - dancing in september
Ba de ya - golden dreams were shiny days

That's my favorite stage of Elite Beat Agents on the Nintendo DS. Other then that I have no date specific songs that I can recall.

The title makes me think of "Do you remember the time" by Michael Jackson.

You are bringing back some good memories O Nut.

I really don't have any specific dates with songs that I can remember. I would have to google.

    Summer of '69 (Bryan Adams)

'65 Love Affair - Paul Davis

    "1982" - Randy Travis (which I believe was a "cover/remake" of a song called "1962")

That's all I can come up with right now!

    Aaaaeeeeyyaaeee, dancing in September, aaaayeeaayee

That song, as well as "Party like it's 1999" always remind me of High School cheer camp. We had an all-camp dance routine to "1999" my freshman year, and the last time I was at camp coaching the team, they had a routine to "Dancing in September." Heck, I still remember the moves to both routines!!...pathetic.

    Re: Do you remember.....

Just remembered another one...one of the truly "dark" songs from the early 70's...

It was the third of September.
That day I'll always remember, yes I will.
'Cause that was the day that my daddy died.
I never got a chance to see him.
Never heard nothing but bad things about him.
Mama, I'm depending on you to tell me the truth.

And Mama just hung her head and said,
"Son, Papa was a rolling stone.
Wherever he laid his hat was his home.
(And when he died) All he left us was ALONE."
    Another September date.

Papa Was A Rolling Stone - The Temptations
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
