"You can cut me off from the civilized world. You can incarcerate me with two moronic cellmates. You can torture me with your thrice daily swill, but you cannot break the spirit of a Winchester. My voice shall be heard from this wilderness and I shall be delivered from this fetid and festering sewer."

Memorized by Crystal Antlers
Astronaut by Beach House.
this band has finally grown on me, and they're VERY pleasant to listen to.
It's been a Whitney Houston marathon, so saddened by this tragic ending to a talented life.
I’m listening to "The song remains the same" by Led Zeppelin. It’s one of my all-time favourite songs. I really love the lyrics of it!
I just heard a live performance of Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young doing Southern Man.
The SiriusXM ap has the best station that I just found – SXM Comes Alive. It has live versions of classic rock songs. I was so pissed when I got in my car and tried to listen to it and found it was only available on the ap. Oh well, I can still hear it work, though.![]()

Sade, Is It a Crime. Preceded by Got to be Real by Cheryl Lynn.
"In many ways, the work of a critic is easy. We risk very little yet enjoy a position over those who offer up their work and their selves to our judgment. We thrive on negative criticism, which is fun to write and to read. But the bitter truth we critics must face, is that in the grand scheme of things, the average piece of junk is probably more meaningful than our criticism designating it so. But there are times when a critic truly risks something, and that is in the discovery and defense of the new. The world is often unkind to new talent, new creations, the new needs friends." - Anton Ego
I was listening to the Foo Fighters on my itunes since they won last night on the grammys and lovin' it!
Miserabelia by Los Campesinos!
went to their show this past weekend, AMAZING performance! i was surprised at the huge crowds, didn't think they were that popular.
Just heard a live version of White Room by Cream. Man, music really sounded good from those days. No autotuning or synthesizing voices.

One of my favorite bands, a Finnish metal band called Nightwish, just released a new concept album. The radical shift in tone around the 4-minute mark of this song gives way to a melody that should sound familiar to Haunted Mansion fans:
One of the band's previous albums even has a song called "FantasMic" that references everything from Yen Sid to Gurgi. If you want to hear some of the more accessible songs by this band, check out "Nemo," "Dark Chest of Wonders," "Amaranth" or "Storytime."
"I really do have love to give. I just don't know where to put it."
