Eric Morecambe (1926-1984) and Ernie Wise (1925-1999) were Britain's most beloved comedy duo in the 1970s who starred in an immensely popular TV show. Their Christmas specials were a holiday tradition in the UK drawing an audience of up to 28 million -- bear in mind that the UK, then as now, has a much smaller population than the US.
Here Eric (the one with the glasses) and Ernie (the one with the short fat hairy legs) do their version of I'm Wishing from Snow White and the Seven Dwarves.
"You can cut me off from the civilized world. You can incarcerate me with two moronic cellmates. You can torture me with your thrice daily swill, but you cannot break the spirit of a Winchester. My voice shall be heard from this wilderness and I shall be delivered from this fetid and festering sewer."
"So make the best of this test and don't ask why. It's not a question but a lesson learned in time."- Green Day
"The harder you work, the luckier you get."- Billie Joe Armstrong
"This is my rage. This is my love. This is my town. This is my city. This is my life."
