Actually, no. I don't even own a Nook! I love the bargain Agatha Christie novels Barnes and Noble (and Borders RIP) sell, so I tend to buy one a visit. For $6, not too bad.

Still can't give up paper books....

How funny then, because they always offer a freebie on Fridays and that happened to be the one for last week. I have a Nook, but I still buy most of my books in hard copy under the disguise of "But they're for the classroom!"

Re: What book are you reading? (or just finished)

So over the summer I've read:
    -"Lucy"
-"A Stolen Life: the Jaycee Dugaard story" (super scary!)
    -"Robopocalypse"
    -"With a Little Luck"
-"I Don't Know How She Does It." (didn't like)
    -"The Help" (really enjoyed)
-"The Power of 6" (from the Lorien Legacies)
    Currently reading- "Unlikely Disciple."
Oh and I should point out this is since... July 16th...Want to read another 2 books before school starts.

Great book! You should try Crime and Punishment if you haven't. Kind of similar.

Our revels now are ended. These our actors, As I foretold you, were all spirits and Are melted into air, into thin air: And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself, Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff As dreams are made on, and our little life Is rounded with a sleep. mycroft16 on Twitter

I read Robopocalypse, too, over this summer. Twice actually. Great and quick read! Looking forward to the movie, too. The book did give me slight lingering heebie-jeebies about the future of our world's technology, though....

My Kindle suggested that I would like World War Z based on Robopocolypse, but after the first few chapters, I still couldn't get into it.

Reading The Devil Wears Prada for the second time. Before that I read The Notebook. And next up is Water for Elephants I'm having a hard time getting through Neal Gablers Walt Disney: The Triumph of an American Imagination and keep renewing it at the library. Anybody finish this book?

“His Dark Materials” Trilogy is one of the greatest Sci-Fi and fantasy novels I am reading these days. I give it two thumbs up!

I want to, but I was having trouble finding it in the Pevear & Volokhonsky translation. just discovered that they have it here in my school's bookstore... exercising some self-control due to limited funds. I have War and Peace though, and some short stories by Gogol so I should be good in the Russian department for a while.

currently reading: Emma by Jane Austen.

Right now I have started reading “It's Classified” by Nicolle Wallace. It is a political fiction novel.

I lied, I'm reading War and Peace.

I don't usually post the small, random books I read for class, but I'm currently (not) reading Of Plymouth Plantation by William Bradford... it's so miserable I had to express it here. I give up.

I just started reading Wolf: Hidden Mickey 4 on my Kindle. Physical copies not out in stores yet but the last two in the series were released on Kindle early.

Re: What book are you reading? (or just finished)

A couple nights ago I finished Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone - yeah, I know, got into the books late. But with the movie series wrapping up, I thought it would be a good idea to get into the books.

Last night I started Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. I'm looking forward to the longer books as I want to find out what they cut from the movies.

I've scrapped Water for Elephants for the time being since it's so popular and never available at the library. In progress: A Walk to Remember. Up next: Message in a Bottle. I'm on a Nicholas Sparks kick.

Currently I’m reading ‘Dead Reckoning’ by Charlaine Harris and I’m willing to read the entire book.
