Did you like it? Because we are moving Saturday and will not have internet or cable before Tuesday I hit Barnes and Noble today. I got Are You There Vodka?, Its Me, Chelsea. I am sure its about as mind expanding as TMZ, but I needed something that would make me laugh during my down time this weekend.

I finished Pretties by Scott Westerfeld two days ago, hopefully I'll be able to go to Barnes & Nobles and get Specials. Last time I went, none to be found..

Re: What book are you reading? (or just finished)

Now that I have a 2 hour daily commute (and a husband with a library card), I've been catching up on my reading! Working my way through the Janet Evanovitch Stephanie Plum books, the Diane Mott Davidson Goldy the caterer books and I'm currently in the middle of "A Cold Heart," an Alex Delaware novel by Jonathan Kellerman.

I'm gonna have to go through this thread to get book ideas!
    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

NNL, the Stephanie Plum books are fantastic!! Or anything by Evanovich is good. Number 14 is coming out in June, so you better hurry and read them!

I'm reading: Full Blast by Janet Evanovich and Charlotte Hughes (#4 in the Full series)
Also reading in between Full books, "Bubbles Unbound" by Sarah Strohmeyer

I have a few Diane Mott Davidson that I got at a book sale, but haven't gotten to them yet. You'll have to let me know if they are any good, NNL.

Are those Full books good too? I don't think I'll be up to number 14 this month LOL It's ok. It took me quite a few years to catch up to Sue Grafton, too.

I love the Bubbles books! I have rad three, I think. At least 2. I should look into those.

The Diane Mott Davidsons are great! I've read them all but the last 4, I think. They're one of the ones I stopped reading when I stopped having time to read and am glad Im' reading them again

I finished Off the Record Saturday ish...? It was okay. I wanted the twist to be the song was about her brother or that Rock promised Jane's dad he'd write a song in honor of him and it was about how his daughter is slutty... No. It wasn't that. It was obvious from the beginning.

CNA book: poo. Seriously end of the digestive track. Yay! I have Queen of Babble I just need time to get into a chapter or three.

Re: What book are you reading? (or just finished)

I finished reading Monty Python and Philosophy and must say that it was alright. As a collection of essays, some material is covered multiple times. There are also times where the writer assumes one knows the work of a specific philosopher, as if talking to another philosopher. I find this format, because of these weaknesses, fails when compared to similar books I have read (ex. Mark I. Pinsky's The Gospel According to Disney and The Gospel According The Simpsons) that are by one author, and are much more cohesive.

I have just started Paris in the Twentieth Century by Jules Verne. Originally written in 1863, the novel was rejected by Verne's publisher. The unpublished manuscript was found in a safe, that was long presumed to be empty, by Verne's great-grandson in 1989.

I just finished Indiana Jones and the Peril at Delphi, the first book in the Bantam novel series. It's Ok. It started out a little slow but got better. It takes place in between the Young Indiana Jones Adventures and Temple of Doom.

I just started the novelization of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull by James Rollins. Hopefully this will explain a few plot holes in the movie.
