Gave up on the John Grisham "An Innocent Man". There are too many books in the world to worry about finishing reading a book you don't care about.

Started a trashy Nora Roberts "Dance Upon the Air". It takes place in Salem, Mass. and is about modern day witches.

So 50 Rules Kids Won't Learn in School was a bit on the boring side. It is written more to those who agree, a category to which I would say I belong, than it is to those who disagree.

Now I am on to Decline and Fall: Europe's Slow-Motion Suicide by Bruce Thornton.

Re-reading "Hollywood Carwash." I wanted to re-read it and I realized I read it so fast last time (over night) that I missed giant points.

Im reading "Northern Lights" by Nora Roberts. Only about 1/3 of a way through it and so far so good.

Just finished RealityLand. I enjoyed it, but not as much as Mousetales. I just started Star Wars: Allegiance, which takes place between episodes 4 and 5. I'm not enough into it yet to give any sort of opinion.

Now half-way through Schulz And Peanuts by David Michaelis. On the "to be read" stack are Walt Disney by Neal Gabler, Einstein by Walter Isaacson and The Beatles by Bob Spitz. On the "read again" stack is God Is Not Great by Christopher Hitchens.

I picked up Decline and Fall looking for a rebuttal to The United States of Europe. While some interesting points are made, Thornton seems to lack the depth and scope that Reid provides in his work.

Now on to Joseph J. Ellis' new book, American Creation: Triumphs and Tragedies at the Founding of the Republic.

PS I love you I read girly chick lit (and there's no book stores up here so the only places with books are the super market that have romance novels.).

They did. The book has a super hot Gerald Butler (with Hilary Swank) on the cover. I've never thought Gerald Butler was hot until I saw the preview for this movie...I want to read the book before I see the movie (so hello dollar theater!). It's also desperation reading. They don't have book stores up here, so I was like "I finished what I was reading, I need something else..." It was either romance novels with like Fabio or the Native American guy half dressed on the cover, the Bible (or the insane amount of religious books they have up here), cookbooks or this.

I went to Target yesterday and was thinking "I should read more knit fic..." Picked up "Friday Night Knitting Club." I am on page 15ish...Again reading the book before the movie (a habit my dad got me into.).

I just gave away a ton of books! Lots of historical fiction that I'd already read. What is your genre preference? I have my mom and sister making crocheted squares - I can send a book or two with them when I mail them to you.

I always have to read the book before the movie. To this day, I have never read Gone With the Wind because I've seen the movie many times first!
