Well, in this last book, Mia is a senior and all she and her friends can talk about is sex on prom night and who has and hasn't done it and the excerpts are to promote the adult book that Meg wrote as Mia, because that's relevent to the book (as Mia's senior project), "for those who are graduating from The Princess Diaries Series".
Press today is so concerned with cool vs. not cool that they're starting to forget good vs. bad. I'm not sure I'll ever be "cool", but I will always tirelessly strive to be "great". - Josh Groban

I may have to read that. There's a really good autobiography by Erin Zemmet called "My So Called (normal) life." The author was living the life of every chick lit character's dream and then found out she had this super rare type of cancer and so did her sister. Really good. And I should PM you my theory about chick lit. You'll laugh.

Just finished "Undomestic Goddess." Started "Avalon High." I'm frustrated with my local library and lack of chick lit. I want to complain, but there's a really hot guy (male librarian hot) who works there and I don't want to be known as "the weird girl obessed with chick lit."
Finished it last night now I'm reading "The Luxe", I'm to pg 226.

It's ok, it started with a possible murder so that got me intrigued. After this I will read Dewey. I got bored with crochet after Christmas so now I'm reading. I want to red HP again, but i have a few books before it.

Muddling my way through ""As Dead As It Gets" by Cady Kalian. Proof why screenwriters shouldn't write novels LOL
    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

Also, would you recommend Coraline? I like fantasy, but mostly humour, or fantasy that is original. Just want your opinion!

re-reading The Ruins by Scott Smith, excellent horror novel, pretty ok movie. there are several character developments that are different from the book to the moviek, but i can understand why they changed what they did for the movie, they made a bigger impact visually

The World Without Us by Alan Weisman. Tries to answer what would happen if ALL of humanity disappeared overnight.
