Finished Mockingjay over the weekend. Very satisfying trilogy. Now back to the Imagineering book.

Re: What book are you reading? (or just finished)

Just finished The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. I know, I was a little late to the party, but I did consider getting it 2 years ago. That counts right.

As for the book, it's VERY good. I found myself more than a little confused for the first few chapters and I wasn't quite sure I was going to like it. But once the book took off I tore through it in a couple of days.

It's nice to see a strong female lead character in a book series (unlike some other series that teenage girls love). My daughter asked if she could read it, but unfortunately I think she's a couple of years away, it is pretty graphic.

If you haven't read it you should, it's very good.

Building Social Business is proving to be a bit of a bore and repetitive, so while I chug through I have also started Traitor to His Class: The Privileged Life and Radical Presidency of Franklin Delano Roosevelt by H. W. Brands.

"Long Division" finished that 2 days ago. It's a good book especially if you live in the Pac-Northwest or know people in the military. And now I am reading "Maze Runner" which is pissing me off.

    Finally reading Mockingjay!!!
    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

    Just finished:
"S@@t! My Dad Says" by Justin Halpern - a fast read that totally cracked me up.

Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson - never read it before; liked it!

The Legend of Sleepy Hollow by Washington Irving - also never read before; thought it would get me in the Halloween spirit. Meh..

Not sure what I'm going to read next. I have a few more unread-by-me classics waiting for me.

Reading Third Watch by Bodie and Brock Thoene... I thought I had read all of this series, but apparently there are 8 books in it. I'm glad because it gives me more books to distract me whilst doing cardio in the gym...

Re: What book are you reading? (or just finished)

Just finished the Hunger Games trilogy. Very well written and unique story. Well thought out characters and some seriously grisly scenes for which my imagination came up with some pretty intense dreams.

Also just read The Maze Runner by James Dashner. I highly recommend this book. First in a trilogy. Book two is out next week. Like the hunger games, it's about children, but the plot and whole story is completely unique. It's also pretty intensely twisted.

Our revels now are ended. These our actors, As I foretold you, were all spirits and Are melted into air, into thin air: And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself, Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff As dreams are made on, and our little life Is rounded with a sleep. mycroft16 on Twitter

I was soooo frustrated with this book within the first half of it I finally googled it and once I saw there was a point I was okay. The first half was just... hard to read.
