Re: What book are you reading? (or just finished)

Just started The Autobiography of an Idea by Louis H. Sullivan. It is a little odd as he is talking about his childhood in the third person and is at times removed and at others personal.

I picked it up, along with over 60 other volumes, for $10.00 at the county library's used book sale.

Just finished The Scorch Trials. Part 2 in a trilogy that started with The Maze Runner. I highly recommend these books. Third and final book due out next year. Can't come soon enough.

Our revels now are ended. These our actors, As I foretold you, were all spirits and Are melted into air, into thin air: And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself, Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff As dreams are made on, and our little life Is rounded with a sleep. mycroft16 on Twitter

I just finished reading Two-way Street by Lauren Barnholdt, At First Sight by Nicholas Sparks, and The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks. All were really great books, especially the ones by NS of course (:

reading Where or When by Anita Shreve. Very hard to put down, want to see where this goes!
    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

"If I Did It: Confessions of the Killer"
Surprisingly boring. The first half of the book is nothing but OJ complaining of how it was all Nicole's fault that the relationship didn't work, how crazy she was, and how badly she wanted him back. Only one chapter focuses on the murder and the rest of the book is OJ complaining about how they got the wrong guy and his life was ruined.

I find the stuff added in there by the Goldman family and the Ghostwriter to be far more interesting than the actual book.

Because OJ says that this was "fiction" I do not know whether or not OJ is stating that Nicole's issues were falsified. Of course when he says it's fiction, it's to be assumed that he means the murders, but who knows, that could be the only non-fiction.

"Call Me Mrs. Miracle" by Debbie Macomber. Cute, fluffy book to get me in the holiday mood.
Press today is so concerned with cool vs. not cool that they're starting to forget good vs. bad. I'm not sure I'll ever be "cool", but I will always tirelessly strive to be "great". - Josh Groban

Full Dark, No Stars by Stephen King. Very gruesome so far, but in the good way...first story is sort of a especially morbid take on Poe's "The Tell-Tale Heart" set on a farm.
