re: The Twilight Saga Discussion Thread

Finished! There were a few iffy parts for me, but for the most part I really enjoyed it!

A few things I didn't really like, they're definitely spoilers so i'll put in the spoiler tags

    Spoiler

At first I was like "She's pregnant?! C'mon Stephenie!!" but then I just got used to it because the whole story hinged on it. I guess it's kinda sweet that they were able to have a child.

Renesmee... seriously? I would liked it better if it had been a boy like in her dreams and she named him Edward Jacob.

Jacob imprints on the baby. That was just a bit weird for me.

But I did enjoy the book, though there are already a lot of people who did not.

Back from vacation! Finished the book.
My predictions for Bella's power if she became a vampire were WAY off.

DisneyRoyalty please post spoilers in the spoiler thread.

re: The Twilight Saga Discussion Thread

There was no spoiler thread when I posted, which is why I used the spoiler tags. Anything else I had to say about the plot of book was posted in that thread when it came about. And you just posted a bit of a spoiler too..

I got a small bracelet and the heart charm at a local bead store to make my own version of bella's bracelet, but they didn't have a wolf...so i'm on the hunt for that. Might be hard.

re: The Twilight Saga Discussion Thread

I think we can probably just keep this one open for discussion. (I can change the title of the thread to just a "Breaking Dawn" discussion thread if you guys want.) I haven't been online for awhile (working and in Vegas), so I'm surprised this thread hasn't grown much! I think we're OK with spoilers now, too. If you haven't read it by now, it's all out there anyway!

I'm rereading it. I'm about halfway through the second time around. I liked it and feel like everything got wrapped up pretty nicely. I was a little disappointed by the showdown at the end. It felt like there was such a big ramp up toward the end and no big payoff. And seriously...Renesmee? That name kills me.

I went to the Breaking Dawn concert in L.A. last Thursday night. It was pretty cool. The best part of the night was when Stephenie sat down with Justin and told which part of the books went with each song. The new one "My Never" made me cry. That song goes with pg. 355 in BD. It's on youtube if you haven't seen it, yet.

Also, if you didn't watch it online, she said her favorite Bella and Edward moment of the entire series was the last 2 pages of "Breaking Dawn." Awwww!

Oh. I figured since we're already discussing it in the other BD thread we didn't need this one.. lol.

re: The Twilight Saga Discussion Thread

Well, we can still keep this for discussing the other 3 books as well.

What are some of your favorite quotes from the books?

I don't remember reading this one, but it's interesting:

When I came here as a child, he would always remove the bullets as soon as he walked in the door. I guess he considered me old enough now not to shoot myself by accident, and not depressed enough to shoot myself on purpose.
Bella Swan, Twilight, Chapter 2, p.35
    Also, from Eclipse:

    Edward: What happened?
    Bella: I punched Jacob.
Edward: Good. Though i'm sorry you're hurt.
Bella: I wish i'd hurt him. I didn't do any damage at all.
    Edward: I can fix that.
Bella: I was hoping you'd say that.
Edward: That doesn't sound like you. What did he do?
    Bella: He kissed me.
All I heard on the other end of the line was the sound of an engine accelerating.

    Another good one...

What am I going to do with you? Yesterday I kiss you, and you attack me! Today you pass out on me!
