New 360 Price Drop Rumors for Sept

It appears that two of the Xbox 360 SKUs will receive a $50 price drop by the week of Sept. 7, making the 60GB model $299 and the Elite $399 -- meanwhile, the Arcade will drop $80 to $199. A few of our retail contacts, some of whom have given us good intel in the past -- and who all work for separate corporations -- have sent us identical information regarding a price drop. Evidence of the Elite and Arcade price cut can be found in the gallery below featuring images sent us from the Sept. 7 Radio Shack flyer.

If this actually sticks unlike the last 'swap'... good news for the holiday season

So the Elite doesn't come with a HD right??? But you can add one can't you??? Or can you use an External HD on it???

I believe every 360 comes with a hd except for the arcade version.

The Elite is the high end system.. it has the biggest HD 120gigs. The one below has 60gig, and the Arcade has none.

Sorry, I meant the Arcade.

But you can add an HD to the Arcade or an external HD right???

You can add the microsoft HD or use the MS memory cards. MS does not support external/3rd party HDs at this point.

I would not recommend a non-HD system to anyone - it would cripple Live too much (space for demos, XBLA downloads, etc).
