    Rock Band 2

We picked this up a couple of weeks ago and all I have to say is wow...

The disc comes with over 80 songs and they are making another 20 free downloads available in a couple of weeks. For a $5 licensing fee, you can rip 50 of the 53 songs from RB1 to your hard drive and all of your previous DLC is fully compatible.

Right now our library is so huge, we haven't had a reason to play GHIII since we bought this.

Our favorite feature this time is your musician isn't tied to one instrument in the anymore. You can play from any position with the same character.

I highly recommend this for anybody that enjoys music games.

We got this the day it came out(for Dkid1's birthday) and we love it. Our library is huge also, we love being able to combine our RB1 songs on to this one. And they've released some great tracks. Great game.

We tried Rock Revolution and were all disappointed, it went back to the store.

Sounds like we'll have to have another rock band party soon.

Might as well get the kids used to Uncle JJ and Aunty Bree and their music as soon as possible.

I haven't tried rock band yet, but think it would be fun for Christmas - we've played guitar hero - is RB just as easy for little kids? Mine are 7 and 9.

Will trade husband for Disneyland and DCA Pins!

Rock Band is easier than GH by one level. It's also cool that you can have 4 people playing at once (singer, guitar, bass and drums) if you get the full kit and an extra guitar. You can also enable no fail mode so an extremely novice player doesn't bring the whole group down.

The new kit just came out with a wireless guitar and wireless drums with quieter heads.

The RB guitar also has small keys down the neck for small handed players.

Rent or borrow RB1 to get access to all of the songs on that disc for $5.

We just went out and bought MS points so we could download more music. We just added another 10 songs to the mix. The DLC is pretty strong and they've announced that they're going to be expanding into different genres of music. Country, ska, and others are going to be added in the coming months.

    Re: Rock Band 2

I've been enjoying RB2 for weeks now as well. I finally unlocked the Endless Setlist in Band World Tour but have not had time to go through it.

I bought Guitar Hero World Tour today as well (only the game itself, however) for the music studio software feature as much as anything else. It seems like both that and RB2 are easier than RB1 and any of the previous GH games. I blaze through the songs on expert guitar on RB2 and yet have not completed an expert or even hard level on Guitar Hero 2 or 3. For RB1, I've only completed hard as Green Grass and High Tides is impossible on expert!
