Re: Wii Sports the Most Successful Video Game of All Time

I think one of my favorite NES games was the RC Racing one (forget the official name).

Yup! The Deluxe set was what my parents got me. I still remember walking out of Toys R Us with it in hand but being told I couldnt open it til Christmas!! AHH!! I still remember ripping that box open, hooking it up to the living room TV and playing Duck Hunt with my sister and dad.

And you're right, 3rd party games were almost unheard of then. The first game I got was "Kung-Fu" and then SMB

I also remember playing the crap out of Ikari Warriors and having our first real experiences with buggy NES games (Ikari would freak out late in the game)

oldest I have running (I don't collect or anything) is our N64. I keep that running in the basement for the kids. They love DK racing, and the Donkey Kong platformer. They have like the intro movie memorized.. they dance to it, etc. Funny stuff.

Gotta get the zelda player to play the two zelda games on it.. as they are some of the best zelda games ever made.

Re: Wii Sports the Most Successful Video Game of All Time

I still remember on Christmas Day back in 1989 that my parents had got the NES for the family. It came with Super Mario Brothers as a bundle set. My parents also bought DuckTales, Mega Man 2 and Ninja Gaiden 2. I still remember the day my two older brothers were able to beat Ninja Gaiden 2 and Mega Man 2 with out the Game Genie. Back then we didn't own a Game Genie. But we owned a NES Advantage controller.

I hated the Advantage controller too. I only used it on any Mega Man game, but my older brother used it almost on every game. He used it because of the slow motion option.

I had one as well... I used it for a lot of arcade type games. Turbo helps on those shooters
