    Amazon taking trade ins!

Amazon Game Room's Blog: Amazon.com’s Trade-In Store Launches with 1,500+ Eligible Titles Permalink

Calling all gamers! Do you have any used games lying around?

Today we are pleased to announce the beta launch of Amazon Video Games Trade-In, www.amazon.com/tradeingames. Amazon Video Games Trade-In is a new service that enables you to trade in your games for an Amazon.com Gift Card.

Our video game trade-in process is easy. Go to www.amazon.com/tradeingames and discover games that you want to trade among hundreds of titles. Once you’ve found your game, print off a prepaid shipping label (no cost to you), drop it in the mail, and you’re done. Once games are received and verified by the merchant, an Amazon.com Gift Card will be deposited into your Amazon.com account. You can spend that Amazon.com Gift Card towards the purchase of millions of eligible items at Amazon.com.

As a bonus for trying Amazon’s new trade-in program, for the first two weeks of the beta, we’re offering 10% off a future purchase of any game or accessory in Amazon’s video games store.

(And by the way, since this is a beta launch, you can expect two things: 1) our trade-in store will continue to evolve over time, and 2) we’re interested in your feedback on how we can improve it. Please share your thoughts via our feedback form here.)

Nice! An option to Gamestop finally. I rarely trade in games, but this wouldn't be such a bad deal since games are cheaper on their site.

According to the chart at this link, you get a bit more for your games as well.

    Re: Amazon taking trade ins!

    Very interesting.

Although with the GameStop Edge card I get 10% more per trade-in and they have deals all the time to get more. There was a coupon last week to get 40% extra with 6 trade-ins.
