Last game I got was Sims 3 the day it came out. Planning on buying the new Rock Band on Tuesday though. And eventually I need to go get Rock Band so I can play that new Beatles one after it comes on, but I'll wait on that one for a bit.

Metroid Prime Trilogy for the Wii.

If you didn't play the Gamecube games, this is a no-brainer. If you did, the games are still worth playing again.

Also Ratchet & Clank for PS3 since it's now a Player's Choice title, i.e. cheap.

Don't pay more than $90 for a full band kit on any platform. Everybody is starting to close them out. Target has them at that price right now.

Guitar Hero 5. I haven't played it yet though as I've been at DLR for most of the day.

I usually get buyers remorse. Oddly I did not when I bought Rock Band

Even if it is a smart buy, I usually get buyers remorse.

I started on the demo last night. I do have to say the game is beautiful. controls are a little funky for me. the slow walk he does by default is kind of annoying.

Rock Band has been the best buy I've ever done since my wife and I spend so much time playing. The fact I could rip RB1 to RB2, (and RB Lego when it comes out) plus the amount of dlc added on a monthly basis is simply amazing. I think I have around 200 songs on my HD right now.

And now that Harmonix is opening the RB Network for the 360 and allowing EVERYONE the ability to upload and sell their own tracks is going to make this game HUGE! I've let a couple of my friends with bands know about this feature. I'm hoping to be able to play some of their music soon!

Dying for Rock Band the Beatles as well but I promised my wife SingStar Queen first... Stupid promise to buy her a game I can't find in the stores. It seems they all got burnt by SingStar Abba and aren't touching dedicated SS titles.

However, expect Live! to catch Beatlemania on launch.

Xbox Live Succumbs To Beatlemania - The beatles: rock band - Kotaku

Microsoft's Xbox team of executives must be shrieking like teenage girls in the 60's at the moment, what with the amount of Beatles-related cash-ins on the horizon for Xbox Live. With The Beatles: Rock Band due on September 9, Microsoft have announced a range of ways users can "relive the magic of Beatlemania", which include:
1vs 100 - On August 29, Harmonix will be taking over the online game show, with a Q&A session to be held with "some of the creative minds" behind the game, followed by two episodes of the show devoted entirely to Beatles trivia.
Avatar Clothing - Anyone buying The Beatles: Rock Band will receive a free Beatles t-shirt for their avatar.
Charity - "All You Need Is Love" is being released as downloadable content exclusively for the Xbox 360. That we knew. What we didn't know is that all proceeds made from the sale of the song (at 160MSP) will be donated to Médecins Sans Frontières.
Vids - A series of music videos, live recordings and documentaries will be released in the days after September 9, including "Imagine: John Lennon".

    Hooray for a new Beatlesmania!

Hopefully they will rerelease Yellow Submarine on DVD/BluRay soon. (I know it has had a DVD release)

Only thing I am not thrilled about with the Beatles Rockband, is they are planning on releasing DLC for it. Why make a game for a band, if you do not release all the songs you plan on releasing on the initial disc? (did I word that in a easy way to understand?)

the DLC is going to be EVERY album the Beatles have done. To ask for 12 complete (over 200 songs) albums is kind of a lot.

Harmonix has said that the licensing for this game was the most ever paid in the industry. The 45 songs on the disc were probably the most they could get Apple Corp to agree to.
