Re: Epic Mickey - Disney References

Actually the image of the Lonesome Ghost is probably sort of a hub world for the Lonesome Manor. Haunted Mansion is in New Orleans Square at Disneyland and the architecture in this image looks like its from that land. Also, those couple of swamp-looking level images I posted are probably from this same hub.

The one where the lightning flashes and everytime it flashes Gus and Mickey are in a different possition

It was purely Gus freaking out that made it funny

    The left part/area confusses me
It's also a reference to the 1937 Mickey cartoon Lonesome Ghosts, which had ghosts resembling this gentleman on the right:

Epic Mickey isn't just about park references. There's plenty of movie references as well. The labyrinth is as much about DLP as it is the climactic scene in Alice in Wonderland where Alice navigates a maze to escape.

The thing that intrigues me the most about Epic Mickey has nothing to do with gameplay. As this thread implies, it has everything to do with obvious and obscure Disney references and the resurrection of forgotten characters. It's all about the story, and I love it.

    Tah-dah! It's Sadie Ortensia!

And here we have a Lonesome Ghost, Super Pluto (I dunno where that's from) , the pig from Band Concert, a female version of Oswald, and . . . Horace?

    EDIT: It's Devil Pluto.

I wonder if the panel with Mickey's ears is a reference to Runaway Brain?

    Fair enough.

    I definitely agree!

I think you're right on the money.

In addition to resembling the Phantom Blot (which is natural, since he's one of Blot's drippings) , this blotling also looks like Experiment 515.

Coincidence? Probably, but the marks on the arms are almost an exact match. Besides, it wouldn't be the first blotling to resemble a Disney character, as Sweepers are modeled after the brooms from Fantasia.

Oh, and another long-shot: the area he's in reminds me of HKDL's Space Mountain queue.

Wait a second- is that Dumbo in the upper-right corner?

First, I would LOVE it if Deforestator was used in this game! I loved Lilo and Stitch the Series, and I was dissapointed that this guy wasn't seen very much. And your right. He does kinda look like a blotling version of him.

Second, Your right. I think that is Dumbo.

Re: Epic Mickey - Disney References

I've got a few more pics here from the characters video.

Here's a picture of Beetleworx Daisy.

    Here's one of Beetleworx Goofy

Here's another of the Magic Brooms.

    Here's Damian Salt

    Horace...

And here's another pic. from the fight against Petetronic.

Regarding this picture, I believe that (going from right to left) the levels are: Matterhorn, Wonderland, Cinderella's Castle, Dumbo's Circusland, and The last one is a combo of 2 levels. One level is a peter pan/pirates of the Caribbean level and the other is a Minetrain through Nature's Wonderland level.

    ok, two things

    1. I'm listening to the 'Find the Jungle Symbols' and not only hearing a battle version of 'He's a pirate' but a combo of 'He's a Pirate' and 'Yo ho Yo ho'

    2. That picture of the lands above? In the Pirates/Mine Train looking level I see a Volcano...

Anyone else think it may be that mountain at DisneySea? you know, the one with all the Jules Verne stuff, sorry I cant remember the name
