For anyone like myself who were too slow - or in my case asleep - when Disney brought out the story, here it is from the guys over at GameInformer who managed to grab the text:

Players can choose to play single-player as Mickey or for the first time players can also choose 2-player split screen mode.
In the 2 player mode one person can play as Mickey wielding magic paint and paint thinner to dynamically change the world and the second player can play as Oswald the Lucky Rabbit – Walt Disney’s first cartoon star – with the power to fly like a helicopter and use electricity to fight or friend enemies and solve challenges.
Team-up and choose your path to save this forgotten world because the choices you make will alter the story and change the end of the game!
I never managed to get the first game, hopefully with more consoles involved I can get to play Warren Spector's acclaimed platformer.
I'm wondering how good it will look on the Ps3? In my opinion as long as the art style is good then when its ported on a better console it can still look good.....best example of this is No More Hero's which looks to me anyway much better on the Ps3 than the Wii
