do they do a VMK tour of disneyland

a long while ago, when VMK was still in beta, I read a story about someone who completed all the in park quests and was invited to go on a two hour park tour with VMK staff. the tour included a mini haunted mansion quest and prizes (one of such prizes was a HM Conservatory code).

has anybody been on this tour recently or know if they still do this?

They told me that they weren't doing it for a while (that was in January) - instead, they gave me a huge stack of cards.

Will trade husband for Disneyland and DCA Pins!

I went on the tour, but it was like pulling teeth to get in. When we finished the quests they said the tours were full for the day. I asked if we could sign up for the next day. tehy said no we have to come the day of. We got there at opening went straight to the booth and the tours were full for the day...I was like WTF....the girl said they must have signed people up the day before. i explained I tried and they would not let me. She said they aren't suppose to...let me make some calls. .;;;she was great...she got us in a really full tour, btu it was alot of fun. I nevr tried to go on another one, because they were alwyas full...ALWAYS!!!. I could hear them telling people as I walked by....

It's been a while now...maybe a year or more. I'm not good with time. I stopped palying the game out of boredom for months, so i stopped goignt o the booth...I play it now, but have not been to the booth. To be honest the booth was annoying. Adults would take forever askign silyl questions. It reminded me of how lonely people will just talk your ear off....anyway it took forever...(the line) when i was there....The CM's were very nice and patient with them though...but the line would always take a while to go through.

so, i didn't dot he POTC tour...I went on the one before that...

Re: do they do a VMK tour of disneyland

It ended because of it was either to popular.. or not popular.. lol

Bill and I, we took a tour at WDW in November and it was 3 people and us who got to sneak on the tour. (You had to sign up for the tour at city hall, after you get the VIP card from VMK central in the main street cinema.. I think this helped with the crowds actually. Lol) I heard on weekends at WDW it would be packed...

The newer quests are going to help do the same thing, only give guarantee you prize if you are right rather then give you a small chance.

I remember Darkbeer went on the tour, he might still have those photos up on his gallery.

Re: do they do a VMK tour of disneyland

I went on the POTC tour, and yes, it's hell to get a spot...created some bad memories at the park for myself. I wanted to smack that tour-guide. What made it even worse was that, the time before I tried to get in and couldn't, the lady after me asked which CM was giving the tour, and then she said, "Oooh, good! I lkike her!" or something to that extent...which infers that the lady had already been on the tour. I say give preference to people that haven't gone on it yet. Apparently there was a rule put in place that one has to wait a while before they can go on the tour again, but in this case it obviously wasn't utilized.

I should also add that the CMs at the booth tend to not really know what's going on with what they're promoting...they aren't much help. At least they weren't last summer.

Re: do they do a VMK tour of disneyland

I think it was to popular. I had a really hard time just getting on the tour. theended up over booking my tour by 5 people. We could not use the ehadsets...it was fun though and I appreciated they did that. Three other people has walked up and said they booked the day before.....(and that alone irrates me, because when I asked I was told no only day of bookings.) anyway, the CM got us all on the tour.

There was also alot of CM's giving out wrong information....depending on who you talked to the answer changed. this was frustrating as well.

Re: do they do a VMK tour of disneyland

You know they did change the rule from every 30 days to 90.. but you know how easy it is to bring someone who didn't doit and do it for them and use their pass?? lol thats why so many people can claim to be on WDW's or DL's 10 - 15 times...

I can only claim to be on WDW's once in November, and DL's once in July

Re: do they do a VMK tour of disneyland

I was only able to get on one tour....they were always booked...or there was space and they said they were booked...I would go back and hear...Oh, you should ahve come at such and such time we had spots, btut now they are gone. Yeah, I was here I was told they were booked..."oh, I'm sorry about that."....it became such an exercise in frustration dealing with almost allt eh CM's at that booth i just stopped going to it....
