Videos By JMAinAZ plus others I host on putmeonthenet.net

If you don't know me, I'm JMAinAZ. I'm a net friend of k_peek_2000. I am also the creator of Fantasmic - The Ride! If you want to check out my videos, plus other really good ones from friends of mine, I suggest you check out my website.

I have done other, Disney themed rides like The American Adventure. My last large production was Revenge Of The Mummy (not a recreation). My newest creation is a short video (5 minutes is short for me) called Voltron. It's a bit different though. There are 4 sychronized coasters (lions), Red, Blue, Yellow and Green. There is also a special multi-demensional coaster called the Black Lion as well as a neat 3rd person perspective in Voltron extras. Let me know which lion you like best.

For Disney fanatics, I suggest watching my videos Fantasmic - The Ride, The American Adventure, and an old one I did, Pirates of The Medditterainean. Check out the friends page for most of k_peeks videos plus videos like Tower of Terror, Expedition Everest and Test Track.

    ENJOY and leave comments!

Hey there are some really cool videos on your site. I have all your previous rides and shows, but Fantasmic The Ride is still my favorite, with American Adventure 2nd. The vidoes by others has some cool stuff. They are not exact copies of Disney Rides, except for the sound tracks, but really, some of them are incredible and really show what can be done with RCT3 if you have the time and patience to figure out certain things about making videos. I still would love to make a fly around video of my Magical World of Harry Potter Theme Park, but I just can't seem to get that silly fly over camera to do what I want. I have read all the instructions, watched the training videos that people have done, but I just can't get it to work right. And then on top of everything else, Roxio's video thing to make VCD's won't accept Windows Media files as input anymore. It says they are not high enough qaulity to work with, and when I do ignore that, and render the video and make the disc, it won't play in my DVD player. I tried the free trial version of Nero and that worked fine, as long as I set the menu to play all videos automatically, other wise it won't play any except the first one. It's too expensive for me to purchase though.

Just wanted to let you know that you and the guys who are doing all these amazing videos are doing a great job, and I know I appreciate it. The rest was just me venting my frustrations. I have a huge HP park, and there isn't much I can do with it now because certain things either don't work at all or won't work correctly. Thanks for listening.

Can you send me the park file sometime? I might be able to make a quick fly through video for you plus a video of any rides. Thanks for the support and your kind comments!

The Park is so big I would have to put it on a CD and send it too you. Even zipping it would still be too big for e-mail to handle. If you PM me with your address I could send the CD to you with a written description of what I would like to see. And there are two walk through areas as well which are Diagon Alley and then Knockturn Alley and then from the Hogsmead Train station through Hogsmead to the "Cairrages" to Hogwarts. If this is ok with you I will get a CD and burn the park to it and then send it off to you. I think there are a lot of Harry Potter fans who would love to see this Park.

2 Questions: How big is big? Park files are usually small, under 10 MB. My video files are 200 - 400 MB on my site.

Also, is there a thread somewhere showcaseing this park? Do you have any screenshots?

Re: Videos By JMAinAZ plus others I host on putmeonthenet.net

According to the "Properties" information this park is 11.4MB (11,973,954 bytes) in size.

Here is a picture of the Park. The picture keeps coming up small and I can't make photobucket accept the full sized picture. It keeps scaling it down.

The Entrance is front center and all the blue shaded buildings are London. If you go to the left, you will reach the Knight Bus coaster. Going straight ahead down London will lead to several shops and The Leaky Cauldron, which leads (to the left again) into Diagon Alley. That leads to the rather large building over at the far left which is Gringots Bank with a mine train type ride inside. This also lead to Knockturn Alley.

If you continue straight ahead on London Street, you will reach Platform 9 3/4 and the boarding of the Hogwarts Express that takes you around the Park (to the left) and during this ride you can see Hogwarts Castle in the center and the first "House" (land) which is Hufflepuff. Behind that in the picture at the top left, the one covered with fog, is Slytherin House. Then the train arrives at Hogsmead Station and you disembark into Hogsmead Village. If you are in the Park, and you feel brave you can enter The Dark Forest and walk to Hogsmead.
At Hogsmead you walk through the village and its shops and you then have three choices. You can ride the Shrieking Shack dark ride, or if you are a first year you can take a Swan Boat across the lagoon to Hogwarts, or if you are other than first year you can ride the carriage to the top of the hill to Hogwarts. Up there is an observatory Tower ride called Dumbledor's Tower, place to eat, ATM's bathrooms, etc. From the Castle there are pathways to each of the four lands or houses, each themed to the name. I found that big long stairways down to each land was very tiring for the guests, so I replaced the stairways with elevators, each color coded to the "Land" it serves. There is a floating Deaths Head at the Slytherin elevator with lots of smoke and fire and scary things in that land. Hufflepuff is green and has ordinary amusement park rides. Over on the other side is Gryffindor with it's big Wooden Coaster, the Nimbus 2000 and other large and "Noble" rides. Then comes Ravnesclaw House and all of it's rides are space, air or Sci Fi in nature. The divider between these two houses is a giant coaster. The divider between Hufflepuff and Slytherin is a hedge and lots of fog. Slyterin is full of scary type rides.

At the back of the Castle is the famous bridge from the 3rd movie that leads to a separate mountain with stairs leading down to ground level and Hagrid's Area. Here you will find "The Whomping Willow" ride, Hagrids house, and "the Care and Feeding of Magical Creatures" attraction. You can exit back to London through Hagrids area and go past a special showcase of Sirius Blacks House, which is kept behind glass for safety sake. This road also lead to The Golden Snitch and Quiditch Pitch, which is the largest coaster in the Park. It is complete with a marked Quiditch Playing field and the Observation Towers surrounding the Golden Snitch. For those to tired to walk the distance to the coaster entrance, there is a Golden Tram that takes you there, and can bring you back. There are food booths, souvenir stands, bathrooms and other such things in each of the lands for ease of food, drink, money and other things.

Way over to the left, outside the Park is a huge fireworks show that can be set to go off at night and you can see if from just about anywhere in the Park, although there is no real viewing area. There are tributes to Disneyland and Universal Parks in this Park as well just for fun. The Hogwarts Castle in the center of the Park is like Disneyland's Castle. On the train, as it passes Gringotts bank, the giant shark comes up out of the water by the train. Also from the train, you can see the movie posters for the four movies that have been made so far, and a waterfall in back of them. There is room left to add the remaining three movie posters as they are made. In Gryffinder House is also located the newest addition, and it's purely look at only. It's Dumbledor's Final Resting Place.

So that is it. I don't think my e-mail program can handle attaching the Scenario. It has enough problems with the BitMap pictures from the game as they are also large. I am open to any suggestions.

The scenario has the latest patches that have the goodies from Wild and Soaked, but not those Parks, just the extra stuff like waterfalls, new booths, etc. I hope all this makes sense (it should if you are familiar with the Harry Potter books and/or movies).

Let me know what I need to do to help you get the Scenario Park. Thanks again for the offer.

Here's what you can do. Go to this site: http://www.yousendit.com/
Here you can attach large email files and send them to me.
    Send them to [email protected]

Honestly, 11.4 MB is pretty small. Like I said, My videos on my site are 200 - 400 MB each!

Try doing this. I'd be more than happy to make a video of this amazing piece of work.

Re: Videos By JMAinAZ plus others I host on putmeonthenet.net

Ok, I sent it per your instructions and got a successfull sent message.

When I said huge Park, I meant that I had takend the scenario Editor and extended the ground grid by a lot, to me anyway never having used this before. And with the scenery, peeps, rides, buildings and what not, I just thought that would increase the bit size of the Park. It's the biggest one I have done yet.

The Fog effect in Slytherin House are being created by a fireworks fog thing that I found on RCT Pyro, which doesn't seem to be around anymore. I don't know if you have this effect on your system, and if you don't I don't know if the fog will work. All the smoke and fire effects at the Slytherin Entrance/Exit area at Hogwarts Castle are from the new scenery stuff that came with that new patch I used.

Anyway, I would like to see the flyover with the ride ons I mentioned in the E-mail I just sent. I would like it to start with that long view of the Park, then fly down and through the Entrance. Then just use your own judgement as to how one would weave their way around London including Diagon Alley (through the Leaky Cauldron) and the Train Station to ride around the Park. I don't know exactly, but my thinking is a person would do that, then ride to Hogsmead, go up to the Castle and then visit each land, the Hagrids area and then back to the Train to finish a ride around the Park and then end the day riding The Golden Snitch. You choose what would look best. And thanks again for doing this. Any music used should of course be the main themes from the Harry Potter movies. I can send you those if you need them.

I have the park file and it is working. I did a little exploring in your park the other day. I will start charting camera lines soon, although it might be a bit before I can get to filming the park. I'll update you as to the progress.

Re: Videos By JMAinAZ plus others I host on putmeonthenet.net

Thanks for letting me know it came through ok. Take your time, this is something you are doing as a favor and I wouldn't want it to interfere with anything else you are working on that is more important. I have been working on this Park for over three years now, I can wait for a video fly through.

Just out of curiosity, when you have the Park running, on your computer does it run smooth, or slow and jerky? I would like to know if it runs smooth and normal because then I know I have to get either a new video card. I know I have enough internatl memory at 2GB and a very fast and big hard drive. I also need a new monitor, but that is being taken care of, so the only thing left that could cause it to run so slow and jerky on my system, is the video card. Thanks again for all your help.

Nice videos...I have a question though. Where can I find more RCT3 videos? I really like seeing what people have done. I really just wish my system would run this game (especially soaked).
