Hastin - As the guru of all that is computery here in MC land..... If I am planning on buying a laptop in the next few months, do you think it would be a wise thing to hold off until I can get one with Vista?

If MS says it will be available in early 2007, it probably won't be ready until after that. So if you want or need the laptop before then, get it now.

I've never owned anything but a PC. (I have artsy friends who have Macs, though.) That said, it would appear that in creating Vista... Mr. Gates is trying to make PC's more like Macs!

Depends. If you really need one, get one now. However, if waiting is an option, then do so. Since Aero Glass in Vista takes a fairly good video card, most companies will start to put beter cards in their laptops, but still keep the price low. You may get a better computer when it comes out for the same price.

There's a set of video clips out there with Gates' description of Vista with the video showing OS X. I think a link was posted on the Tech Forum at one point.
