As long as Disney can keep marketing it and it's been over a year so far.

my vote was four years, so i just voted four, so far theres no ads for it, and its not nessecarily making them any money. So unless they come out with dolls, or shirts, or some way to make money. Somone at disney is gonna be business like and cut the funding so that they can save some of their precious money.
Take a look at my past signatures and avatars! And maybe some extra stuff! http://www.picturetrail.com/gallery/...ris221&x=0&y=0

No ads? VMK was originally funded by Disneyland's marketing budget.

As for shirts, they already exist: Zazzle.com - VMK

Then there's marketing. The one-time use codes are from advertisements in Disney prints, Disney Adventure's Magazine, etc. Not to mention ads printed in Park information, etc. You can't forget the Herbie DVD codes either. So there are ads, just only through Disney ventues such as Disney.com.

Forgive me for not knowing but what is the difference between the two? I am not all that knowledgeable about some computer things.

And as far as longevity, you never know with these things. Look at Ebay! A lot of people thought it wouldn't last since it was started as a way to trade and sell PEZ dispensers. Now it is a global force!

You're right about marketing being done. How many extra boxes of cereal do you think they sold before the codes were made public knowledge on the internet? Also I believe annual passholders now go to the parks more often to get the quest rewards therefore generating more daily income on food and drink in the parks. I believe the bigger purpose is to get people excited through the game to want to go to the parks whether they have been to them before or not.

My theory is they will eventually start charging people to play the game to keep up with new additions, staffing, normal expeditures that come with running a business.

It's great that its free, but I don't see that lasting forever.

I wish it doesn't do so because if they do start charging peeps to play it. I bet you my mom will ask me to pay it with my own money. (Unless it's $5/Month, like ToonTown)
