Run your virus prtection program, if you have one. After that try deleting cookies, history, files and recycle bin. If that doesn't work, check your firewall setting on the main account of the computer. As TLynn said too, make sure you have the latest version of shockwave. Or else it wont work.
I have the same problem on one of my computers and have no idea why it is like that. I've dowloaded shockwave, checked security/firewall, cleared cache, anything else you could possibly think of. I just get a black screen.
One other thing you might want to check is how many processes you have running... even though your system meets the specs, if you have too much stuff happening all the time you might still be running out of computing resources.
Yeah not necessary to bump on a board like this...
back on topic, sometimes it just takes a while. If it hasn't loaded after 5 minutes then something's wrong. Hit f5 and try again. also try using fire fox or internet explorer- whatever you're not using.
It could also be the resolution on your computer, if it's too low then the game won't load. I tried playing on my old computer a couple days ago and I got a pop up saying my screen resolution was too low so the game didn't load and i got a black screen. Maybe if you change your resolution it will work...
1. Make sure that your Flash/Shockwave is up-to-date
2. Make sure you're firewall is not blocking the game
3. Make sure you are attempting to log in from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Pacific Time
4. If all else fails, try logging in from another computer to see if the game is down or there is a problem with your account
Not a newbie, I just never got an account on the site before. aeryka of vmk.
Even though I may not be gay, I'd like to ask people to not use the word 'gay' as an insult, because, quiet frankly, it isn't, and threads/opinions/items have no sexual orientation, so they can't be gay. They CAN be gay as in 'happy' though. So, a bright pink bag can be called 'gay' as in happy, as long as that is apparent. Thanks.
It's not really a rule, just something you should do .
It is a rule elsewhere, but we use it as a suggestion, it is best to bump it only if needed, most threads in here stay fresh for around 24 hours, then might slip to page 2, the best time to do it is on page 2 of the forum. maybe 6 hours. but its just a suggestion. we only enforce excessive multiple posting like 5 times in a row in a short period of time saying the same thing, and even then its a reminder to be kind and patient.
I have the same situation, mainly from the WiFi my laptop runs.. just be patient, might take 5 to 30 minutes to load VMK. (and this is a bit under near state of the art laptop)
