Hey everyone! As some of you may know, I just got back this afternoon from an amazing Spring Break vacation! I brought along my nextdoor neighbor and best friend, Emily, since we were both on break. We left Friday night and came back today - 4 days and 3 nights, total.
On Friday we met up with my sister, Monica, and my cousin Matt and his fiancee (sp?), Christine, for dinner at a Sizzler. Monica is a softmore at UCF, and Matt and Christine recently graduated also from UCF. After dinner, we all went to Downtown Disney, which was tons of fun! We went into a candy shop where they had slushies for sale - but not just your ordinary slushies. You got to pick out a hat and shoes (Disney character themed, of course) for your slushie cup, choose the cup color, and then choose the slushie flavor! They were definitely the best slushies we ever had.
Saturday was Blizzard Beach day! We didn't go on Summit Plummet, but we did go on just about everything else! Emily and I split up from my parents and met up with them every 2 hours, so we met up at some beach chairs each time. One of the times, we were early and had gotten there before my parents, so we were just sitting around for a while. Soon enough we were waving our arms around madly () due to mass lovebugs. Since we didn't have bugspray, we didn't know what to do. This is where Dance's Evil Maniacal Side comes in. I got my parents' beach bag, took out the aerosol sunscreen, and had the time of my life spraying the bugs. They would fall down from shock, but don't worry, they got back up again. And boy, did they flee from our chairs after that! The funniest part was when my parents came back and we quickly put away the sunscreen, whispering "this never happened," and such, and my mom pulls out the sunscreen to put some on and says, "Boy, these aerosol cans don't have much in them. This one's already almost empty!" I swear we almost burst from trying to hold back laughter.
Sunday was our resort-exploration day. We stayed at Orange Lake, a timeshare resort, where we own one of the 'cottages' for week 52. We traded last years week for days this year, and that's how we came to staythere for the break. Orange Lake recently added their own mini water park, complete with slides, restaurants, and a lazy river! We spent most of our day there, but at night we went back to Downtown Disney to see the other side, aka Lego Land, Planet Hollywood, and Virgin Records. When we went into the Planet Hollywood store, I found the most amazing beach bag that was $18.00. And guess how much I had in my wallet? Yep, $18. Being the money-saver I am, I decided to wait to see if I found anything after, and would come back to buy it. Well, at the Lego Land store, I found an adorable Robin Hood keychain, which was $4. After snuggling, pleading, and some puppy eyes and pouty lips, I managed to get a 5 dollar bill from my dearest loving father.
So in the end I got my purse And my Robin Hood. It was a successful day!
Monday was checkout day, so we got up at around 10 and headed straight for the Mall at Millenia! My favorite mall! Being broke, I had to rely on my mom, who bought me a V-neck orange t-shirt at Forever XXI, which I needed for beach days and such. After that we drove around for about a half an hour trying to find out how to get to a McDonald's on the side of the road, succeeded, and headed home to Martin County! 30 minutes later I was on my way to my aunt's house for Passover, and now I'm here! HERE COME THE PICS!!
