Shaun The Sheep - Disney Channel with Playhouse Disney Now?

ok. i been seeing commercails about Shaun The Sheep. I think Disney Channel is putting a show that should be on playhouse disney. Seriously they shouldnt be making child-like shows and show them on DisneyChannel . No1 is going to watch a show thats about animals that look like they are made out of clay.. LOL Why cant they show a music video by HSM2 or Hannah Montana or something.. Im even getting sick of the Shorty McShort Shorts clips.. seriously they are like overrated.. it even said the show was made by the creatures of Walus & Gromit.. a little little kidz show.. THE DRAWINGS FOR SHUAN THE SHEEP LOOK EXACTLY LIKE WALUS & GROMIT [told by friend.. lol]

Any 1 got any comments or opinions on this?

Well, remember what may seem childish to you, may not be to someone else. There are also younger viewers of disney channel that watch the main channel, and not playhouse disney.

Why should they not make "child like" shows for the Disney Channel? DISNEY is for families... families include children. In fact, I've always thought of the Disney Channel as more of a kids show network, much like Nick.

What you think the only shows they should show are ones geared to the 11-14 year old demographic???

And for the record I love the claymation programs, and I love shows about animals and if you combine the two I'd watch it.

According to imdb and what I believe I saw on Disney Channel, Shaun the Sheep will only be a short (5 minutes long). It's supposed to be a pretty great show.

My son saw the commercial for the first time this morning - he came running into my room just to tell me about it - he said it looked just like Chicken Run with sheep! He was so excited. I think that Disney Channel is just catering to it's viewers. Good for them!

WaG, does have quite few adult fans too.
The creator of Shaun, Chicken Run,
Curse of the WhereRabbit, are all highly
admired for the style and clever thought
going into these toons.


Sounds like your complaint with these
is that you personally don't like the claymation
look. Most of the older Rankin/Bass holiday
specials (Rudolph being the most popular)
look very similar in style to Shaun,
Wallace and Gromitt. What do you think about
the holiday specials by Rankin/Bass. My guess is
you wouldn't think highly of Gumby and Pokey,
either, due to the style.

Oh, There has also been another show where the
creator of Wallace and Grommit was involved with,
where they take real interviews and coversations
of people, and then claymation animate them as animals.
Some of that is very clever and original.

Personally I can't stand the look of Japanimation,
it really looks like a hack job comparred to any other
type of animation. I guess several people say there
are actually some good stories done in that stye.
(even though how it's presented looks like crap.

Sounds like you think the same way about claymation.
You don't have to like every style. But it does have it's fans

Family=Little children, children, teens, parents, ANYONE who is related..Agreeing with Penguin.

Just like the short clips, they are practically commericals. If you don't like, don't watch it.

I haven't seen this show yet to judge it, so I can't say whether or not it's any good. But as many have mentioned, smaller children watch the Disney Channel as well... and I think - if you don't like it, switch the channel! Lots of good things are on TV these days

Also I think it is only for like 5 minutes (Like shorty Mc. Short shorts or whatever it's called) because of the premiere time.

Playhouse disney is in the morning so baby's will have nothing to watch in the afternoon. Maybe this could give them something to watch?

Here is what I do, if you don't want to watch it, then don't. Change the channel. Disney Channel isn't the only thing on tv. And besides, don't most cable companies offer TWO Disney Channels? One for Pacific time, and one for Eastern time?

Also, if it's a commercial during one of your shows, quit being a couch potato. Get up, run around the living room, do jumping jacks, something! Don't just sit. Take your mind off of the TV, and onto being active!

Well me and my kids just watched it. The two oldest ones hated it while the youngest one liked it. It was only five minutes so it's no big deal. And I myself thought that preschoolers might like it (Which mine did)
