Hmmmmm... Interesting bit of information. Hopefully this means Disney will finally release "A Build Your Own Magic Kingdom" or Roller Coaster Tycoon - Disney Edition. So many possibilities. I just hope they take advantage of them. I have waited years for a game like that, and if Disney's smart, they'll do it.
I love to hear about people getting involved. I don't do VMK, but I am glad to see people doing something rather than just sitting there and taking it. I hope you all succeed.
ok this is something better
There are roughly only about 8000 members of VMK. The business model that they appear to be going to, is away from free games (where the only revenue is from ads) to a subscription based model (that will still have ads) that will get them a more steady income. But even the Pirates online game will one day close.
You can make as much noise as you want, but in this case, I seriously doubt it will have any effect. They will continue to come up with new online games, close them down for newer and better (or the hottest trend of the moment), as long as it profits them in some way.
Remember, Dont complain to VMK's contact us. That will fall on deaf ears. I highly doubt VMK staff want the doors to close anymore then we do. Complain to Disneys headquarters.
I will work on getting you all adresses to write too and phone numbers to call tonight. You will have them by morning if you haven't already found them![]()
Keep in mind, Nothing is worse for Disney's PR dept. then the public knowing how Disney Corp made kids and adults cry.

Well.. I don't have Disney's E-mail, Phone number, And such..![]()
This is really dissapointing to know because I have been a member since day one and have never failed to enjoy the game. I really hope most of my friends on VMK will join here so we can all be a family!

I can only hope that the MCV section will stay open as long as possible...
Not that I think you have a chance but...

These are addresses/contact info that was posted in the "Save The Rainforest" thread in the main forum. Some of the contact info may or may not be pertinent to the VMK Online Game, so if anyone has any different addresses...
I can't even begin to describe how bummed I am. Not just because VMK is closing but because of the people I will lose. Friends that I enjoy talking to who I only see on VMK I will very likely never see or hear from again. These are people who I know I only see them on a virtual game but who mean something to me and are more than just friends but a virtual family. I keep thinking to myself why couldn't they just charge a monthly fee for VMK instead of closing it? If the options were to close VMK or pay a monthly fee to keep it open I would pay the fee. I just can't believe that VMK is going to close. I guess it was inevitable that it would but still it just blows my mind. For those of us who do not live near a Disney park, VMK was the next best thing to get a Disney fix. Sorry to go on and on about it, but I'm still just in complete and utter shock.

As penguinsoda stated, you probably won't be able to do very much.
Here is another you may want to try...

Good luck. And remember, this was a higher-up decision, not just a VMK decision.
