    WiiWare launched today

    Launch titles are:
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King - 1,500 Wii points ($15)
    LostWinds - 1,000 Wii point ($10)
TV Show King - 1,000 Wii points ($10)
    Pop - 700 Wii points ($7)
    V.I.P. Casino: Blackjack - 700 Wii points ($7)
Defend Your Castle - 500 Wii points ($5)

If you don't know what WiiWare is, it's Nintendo's new digital distribution service. These are games specifically designed for the Wii which you buy in the Wii Shop channel and are stored directly on the Wii.

Upcoming games include World of Goo, Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People, Major League Eating, Star Soldier R, Gyrostar, Dr. Mario Online Rx, and Everyone's Pokemon Ranch.

I myself downloaded LostWinds today... it's really a fantastic game, and for $10, Wii owners should try it out.

Maybe I'll check these out after I finish the Virtual Console games I downloaded. At this rate, that will be in 2012 or so.

They really needed a bigger hard drive for the Wii, or a way to use SD cards, or something. Talk about short-sighted.

you can't run data directly off the SD cards you have to delete data on your system memory and copy it back over which is pretty much exactly the same as erasing it and redownloading it from the internet again (if I'm not mistaken saves from VC games arn't copied with the rom so yeah)

Yeah, SD cards are of some value, but are still very inconvenient, and not a substitute for adequate storage space on the system itself.

Strongbad is going to be a series of games actually

just like how telltalegames is handling Sam & Max is the same way Strongbad will be handled. Aka you have different chapters that you get to download and there will be a new game/chapter every month for a bit (I can't remember how many chapters they're planning to produce)

Strongbad's deffinitly one I'm looking forward to as well

there are a few others I'll probably check out, the Crystal Chronicals game is probably pretty good (I tend to trust SquareEnix as a developer) and I see alot of positives on Lost Winds on IGN (calling it better then most disk content games).

Even online Dr. Mario could be fun. Honestly they should just Wiiware all their puzzle games into updated/mostly online compatable games, in this era I'm not too motivated to pay full price for a puzzler unless it has alot of features and is on my portable. But I'd Wiiware purchase em if they had a nice online mode and were an impulse buy (puzzlers just arn't worth the same price as games taht take much larger budgets to produce and it's time that is realized)

I wish Nintendo got more improved with this and had one realy good title come out, like a Mario or Zelda game. Or heck a old school type Sonic game would be sweet.
