Is anybody out there going to watch "Life on Mars?" I am going to watch it and I very much look forward to it.

Is that just arrived in the US? It's old news here in Britain - although the spin-off has recently completed its first series.
WDW - 1987 & 1991
DLP - 1996, 2004, 2006 & 2007
DLR - October 2011
I'm so excited for this show - especially the cast!! I just saw the videos and it looks really promising. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bvL4Z-XXYNg&feature=related
I'm gonna try it. I think I'll like looking at all the 70s stuff.
I want my cake back!
I think it looks pretty cool. I'll probably check it out.

Alright, I just watched the pilot episode last Thursday. In the episode:
SpoilerThe main detective was investigating a murder in 2008, and is hit by a car while chasing a murderer down the street, and is transported back to 1973 where the rules are a little different. While in 1973, he investigates a murder that parallels the one he is investingating in 2008. During that time, he hears the voices of doctors examining him through radios, Television, and music.
Here is how it ends:
SpoilerWhen the murderer is caught, the boy who looked up to him will grow up to be the man who is in the murder in 2008.
Any thoughts?
I gotta say this...
WTF have they done to Sam?
SpoilerWhen Sam had his hand on the gun going to kill the kid.
I just got upset, I scared my brother. That was evil.
I'm not liking this Sam, but I'll give it another chance.
In other words, the same basic plot as the original series.
I promise to give this a chance. But the first episode confirmed my skepticism.
By the way, after "The Office", and "Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares" among others, BBC America is now calling itself the "Birthplace of American Television"...
Thank you POISONEDAPPLES!
Anyway, I just watched it on Thursday, and did anybody watch it?
Here are some spoilers:
SpoilerIn the episode, while investigating a case, a piece of machinery comes along, and Sam hears it along with other medical equipment. It is hypothisized that it was a respirator that is keeping him alive.
I couldn't sit through the whole episode! :>( Maybe I was just too tired, and it's on too late for me to really give it a good try. Oh well.
I want my cake back!
Okay, watched last night's episode. It was awesome last night because here is what happend:
SpoilerWhile investigating the murder of a vietnam vet named Robert reeves, Sam goes through little flashbacks and realizes that he was right next door to the house he grew up in as a kid.
Here is something else that was interesting:
SpoilerThe vietnam vet he was investing the murder of was gay, and he was having an affair outside his marriage.
And finally:
SpoilerTo get home, he must go through a period of self relization.
I also love Windy, the hippie girl that Sam meets in his apartment complex who got introduced last week. She calls him "2-B." Awesome!
I miss John Simm.
Cammie Dog: 3/27/05-6/28/09 God took you way too soon Protect your dog from heat stroke. It attacks and kills quickly.
I just watched the new episode of it...I absolutely loved it. Here is what happend:
Spoiler
While investigating the murder of a couple of dancers at crime Boss Elliott Casso's club, Sam runs into his younger self and his mother, who is $1000 in debt. While under a drug influence, he gets these glimpses into why his mother came home one night crying, and remembers the red dress she wore. In the end, when busting Casso, he finds his mother there: here it was reveal she was working as a call-girl for the guys, and he discovers why she came home crying.
Here is my hypothesis about the show and the direction it is taking:
Spoiler
Sam is back in 1973 to find answers and discover himself and how he can be a better person
