Good for Conan. Should be interesting to see what happens, but when one considers the Leno hosted Tonight Show was doing better than the Conan version, is a return to the way things were all but inevitable?
Didn't Leno retire? Can someone please explain to him what retirement is! If Leno had the kind of class Conan just proved he had, he would retire and finally give Conan his chance on Tonight.
Did anyone watch last night's Tonight Show? Conan ripping on the situation through the whole show was hilarious!
I like Leno, but c'mon man move on already! He is really successful touring comedian and that is what he should be doing. "Coco" hasn't had a long time to garner an audience. It took Leno a long time to get over Letterman and O'Brien needs more time.
This is just NBC trying to correct a big mistake. They should've let Leno keep "The Tonight Show" and lost Conan or retired Leno, but they were much more worried with losing Leno to another network and getting beaten by him. Somehow this is going too end up bitting NBC in the rear!
"Here you leave Today and enter the world of Yesterday, Tomorrow and Bankruptcy!"
Maybe for once, someone will call me "Sir" without saying, "You're making a scene!"
I loved watching Jay at 1135pm. Frankly I grew up with his version of The Tonight Show. I've really lost alot of respect for him these last few days. Jay should bow out gracefully, accept that his show failed and do something other than late night.
Out of the NIGHT.... When the full moon is BRIGHT!! Comes a horseman known as ZORRO!!! ---------------------------------------
I am so glad to see that other people feel the same way I do. Leno is done, stick a fork in him! NBC really seem slike they are going to screw Conan over. I watch Conan, I didn't watch Leno. I never will.
Good morning, son
In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
It was pain
Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...
Honestly, I like Jay, but he's being a whiny (you know what) about this whole thing.
If he had ANY dignity he'd back-off and release a statement like Conan released today. That the TONIGHT show should be on at it's traditional slot and that he tried his own show, and it didn't work, and he's stepping aside.
But he's not, and I've lost all respect I had for him.
Leno should just move on to something else. He's the one who failed with the new time. The whole ordeal just doesn't help eliminate Jay's whiny attitude, (even though that's his style), this just perpetuates the idea that Jay is whiny little baby. And whoever ok'ed this "experiment" at NBC, need a kick out the door.
I really hope NBC makes the right move and keeps Conan where he is. The network can still redeem itself. Leno could probably get a full-time gig in a Vegas resort. I can't wait to see what Conan says tonight.
