Jeff and Jordan are still in it to win it! Though Jordan needs more fire in her belt.

    Re: The Amazing Race-Season 16

Oh my gosh, could this show get any more FUNNY? First there was that first couple to go, the one where the guy said, "Big dogs gotta roar." We're still snickering about that here. Then last week, one of the dimbulbs saw the WW1 plane, & said, "hey, it's one of those flying things..." One of those flying things? What, a duck? Mosquito? Kite??? I didn't think they could top that, boy oh boy was I wrong...

Joan of Arc is a guy? And the French people don't speak very good english? Can't wait to see what stupid thing someone says next!

    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

You didn't miss it again last night, did you? Because I think we'd be anonymous about your failure-ness...

    I heart the cowboys!

They had me from the 2nd episode when they kept saying "Oh my gravy". It gives a new twist on omg. Plus, they are just nice guys and so cute and funny how they are like two little peas in a pod.
I hope they are still in the running next episode. *crossing fingers and toes*

I like the cowboys, too! They have a sense of humor. Also, you know you should root for a team when they get their own musical score

    Ep 7 Review
Many teams made so many mistakes that it made an armchair warrior like myself feel so superior. After all, I wouldn't make such foolish mistakes, would I? Actually, I probably would if I lasted into the final six teams. I'd imagine the pressure of the race tends to mess with their common sense.
Here are tonight's glaring team errors:
Steve and Allie left their backpacks at the detour. Since they had their passports and money with them, they decided to just go on without them. In retrospect, I think they made a wise choice. Three teams left coconuts back at the start of the detour -- Caite and Brent, Jet and Cord, and Carol and Brandy. Michael and Louie might have accidentally broken their roadblock clue bottle, but they knew to bring it with them to the shore. Jet and Cord left their bottle on the boat, made it to the pit stop, then had to go back to retrieve it. They were so off their game.
The locale and the pit stop
One of the things I most enjoy about this show is the chance to peek in on other countries. I wasn't familiar with Seychelles at all. But ... wow. What stunning scenery! So many of the island paradises of the world have been trampled by mankind. Yet the whole area seemed pristine, gorgeous and so clean. Steve and Allie, my fast-growing favorites, made it to first place at the welcome mat sans their backpacks. They won a dinner by the ocean, a massage, $7,000 each and all the 7-Up they can drink. I was happy for them -- they have the strongest bond of any parent/child team ever on the show. Jordan and Dan came in second. Brent and Caite arrived third while Michael and Louie made it to fourth on their heels. Jet and Cord, in the most miserable leg they've run, made it fifth but were sent back for the bottle clue, which enabled Carol and Brandy to slide into the fifth place slot. Thankfully, it was the second non-Philimination leg of the season, so the cowboys remain in the game. They need to get their mojo back.

If I hadn't been sitting next to my husband I would have loudly said "Wow!" when Jet and Cord put on their boardshorts. The redhead is such a cutie!
