About LinkBacksWipeout returns tonight on ABC. I love this show. As stupid as it is, it never fails to bring me a chuckle or more. For some reason, someone else's pain makes me smile.

Not really a fan of WipeOut!, the Big Balls do look fun yet painful. How many people have actually aced it and how many testes jokes have the cardboard cut-out hosts made from it yet?
Look just like horror movies,you'll get a lot more bang for bucks by watching the original than the crappy american reboot/remake. That original, Takeshi-taichou no Shiro airs in a fake dub now and again on SPIKE. So trade in those big balls for such family games as 'Door Jam','Roach Motel 8','Birth Canal' and the grand finale 'Lord Yama's Mountain of Death,Abortion and Suffering'.
Don't think of a gun as a weapon.

As for Wipeout, it's great fun. But after a month or so it does start to get old.
Anybody else catch the show that came on after? Downfall? Talk about a cool concept that they just made absolutely BORING.

I remember when this show first came out. I was looking all over online for a chance to be a contestant. However, I think it's random selection from a crowd or something. Half the people on the show dont seem like they want to be there.
Anyone know any information on being a contestant?

Last year they held auditions at DTD in Anaheim, so they are recruiting people. I think a lot of people don't realize how physically demanding it is...

I can't disagree with any of that. Especially on Downfall.

For me the show is unwatchable ... Not because is stupid, or that watching people fall off things can't be funny. I hate shows that are pre-recorded and edited, but designed to look like "live" commentary. Many reality/game shows do this well, some like this one, do not. I'd rather be watching something as it is happening, and just recorded.
my friends and i just started getting into it. I was a big fan of MXC and ninja warrior, so i always scoffed at this show. but man after watching the blind date episode on hulu i was hooked. we are now planning on auditioning for it, just so we can go on it, not for the money.
In this vast network of sharks and minnows, where the minnows outnumber the sharks a million to one, why is it that we have yet to converge? To take on the upper hand? Why have we been so scared? Well not today, not anymore. This is us growing up, still young, but no longer impressionable. We have come to pillage! We have come to burn! We have come to incite the riot! We have come to take it over!

I wouldn't be a contestant on the show, but watching people falling on that show always makes me laugh. But it's the commentary that's made of win sometimes. One time the things Anderson & Henson were saying about one contestant during one challenge had me laughing so hard it hurt and I could barely breathe.
And the Big Balls rule all!
This season they started shooting paint at the contestants, which I think is a bit too much. And there's too much mud. A little is ok but every obstacle? Ick.
I would not go on, but my boyfriend wants to, and what i scary is he'd probably do well...monster combo of athletic, high pain tolerance AND twitchy, lol
