Wow! Just finished watching The God Complex.
Wonderful episode. The last couple of episodes have been quite good but exhausting.

For all you classic Who fans. Did you catch the Doctor mention the Nimon? So cool!
The Nimon be praised. Now I want to go and watch The Horns of Nimon.

Definitely enjoying the second part of the season so far. It'll be interesting to see if the next episode is completely free of Amy and Rory; it'd be the first episode of the Matt Smith era, I think, to not have one of them in the episode.

Also, there was a bit of news today about the Xmas special going into production. The episode is apparently going to be set in WWII England...and just the Doctor with new characters, not Amy and Rory. I hope that doesn't mean what I think it means...

Any thoughts on last night's episode? I liked having the Doctor interact with Craig again, but I still can't wrap my brain around how the Doctor will get out of this one. Again, I know he will--see my last post about the upcoming Christmas special--but I have no idea how that will happen. Then again, the Doctor facing his doom seems at odds with the title of next week's episode (which I won't mention for the spoilerphobes).

So many great moments in this episode.

Loved the baby having so many great implied one liners.

The whole Amy/Rory scene in the department store was emotional. Especially when the Doctor see's the giant add with Amy's face on it with the tag line "For the girl who stopped waiting." Heartbreaking for the Doctor not to be able to acknowledge them.

The ending of this episode just floored me. Can't wait to see how they
    wrap this season up.

One thing to keep in mind, sometimes the Moff likes to keep plot lines open to continue into the next season. So I wouldn't be surprised if certain story lines weren't resolved. But here's hoping they do.

    Tick-tock goes the clock
and all the years, they fly.
    Tick-tock, and all too soon,
    your love will surely die.

    Tick-tock goes the clock
He cradled and he rocked her.
    Tick-tock goes the clock
    Til River kills the Doctor.

    To be continued...

There's a prequel for the season finale over on the BBC America website.
But for spoiler purposes I'm not going to link directly to the video.
It has the title of the season finale in it.

If you want to see it click the link to the website and watch.

"Closing Time" floored me. The Amy/Rory sighting, the billboard with her face and the caption, Craig (glad to see him again!) and the baby, the Doctor can speak Baby (love that!), and the ending??????

Oh, my gods, wow. I love River and just.... wow. Now I can't wait for the next episode.

    Again.

I'm late to the party, but I've been watching all the episodes. Last week's was great. I was cracking up at how the baby referred to himself (Stormageddon, Dark Lord of All).

Can't believe the finale is already coming up this weekend! Then having to wait nearly 3 months for the Christmas special? GAH!

David Tennant is my favorite version of The Doctor. I love me some Ten. But Matt Smith has really impressed me (even though I STILL think he looks like Crispin Glover).

Anyhow, I'll be watching the season finale on Saturday with my sonic screwdriver in hand!

It might suck for us to have to wait until the end of December for a new Doctor Who special, but I've read in a few places that we're going to have to wait pretty much until next fall to get any new episodes. This is what happens when a guy like Steven Moffat has to perform acts of brilliance in Doctor Who AND Sherlock.

I love Sherlock as well, so as long as I can have that, I can survive until Series 7 starts up next year.

So what did everyone think of the last episode?

I loved the way it ended with "the question".

    Doctor WHO!?

Loved the Wedding of River Song. There's an intensity to the last few rounds that I don't remember from previous eras and I'm sort of still adjusting to that. But the writing is good, the acting is good, the whole thing comes together and feels right and it's amazing.

    Love it!
