Re: So You Think You Can Dance

I must be in the minority but I never saw the real meaning in this show - I've watched a little but it doesn't do it for me - but thank goodness, because I don't need another reality show to watch!!!

I don't think so, the fact that you have some of the same people means that those people had some of the same teachers, maybe work ethic, motivators, families pushing them, access to same schools, etc. The fact that Benji's sister has a title as well (or two of them?) sort of points to this.

I really enjoyed last night's episode. I like seeing creative people, and I really am floored by some of the things these folks do with their bodies. It's going to be a fun watch.

I prefer this show to Dancing with the Stars. These are people who have trained to dance and, as a former dancer, I love to watch them. Can't wait for the real competition to begin!

I do like some of the pics but all of their names escape me. I don't like that egotistical boy who thinks he's gods gift to dance, I hope he's gone the first week.

I got to go to the taping of tomorrow night's show (first competition night with the top 20) and it is great you've got to watch. Call and vote for #03, Lacey and Kameron. They have an awesome, dramatic routine by Mia Michaels!!!

Afterwards we went dinner with the Schwimmer clan, and many of the dancers came out as well. I believe the "egotistical boy" being referred to is Dominic? They will air a taped response from him tomorrow/Wednesday night on the show, and I must say from the short meeting we had everything I saw of him said that he was a sweet guy.

I thought there were some great routines, I'm interested in hearing what everyone else thinks after the show airs....

Here are a couple pics from last night.

Cool pics! This is the only show we're watching this summer, I absolutely love the dancing.

And Cat Deely is a much better hostess than whatshername from DWS!

I missed last week too (was at a Weird Al concert!) but I watched last night and am looking forward to tonight's episode.

The funniest thing was watching my 2 year old try to dance along with the contestants.

I can't believe some on here actually prefer DWS to SYTYCD... that's just plain crazy talk.
I'm sooo stoked that this show is finally back on. Last night's top 20 was just epic to watch. There is only a couple of dancers that I don't really feel anything for. It's going to be such a great season with a lot of potential winners.
So far, I'm liking Jessi, Lauren, Lacey, Hok and Kameron (sp?)
    Bring on the results show!
I only hope we never lose sight of one thing... that it was all started by a mouse!

I loved Lacie's contemporary with her partner (still learning names)

My other favorite was the two who did the hip hop (I believe) with the newspaper. They had so much character!

I also enjoyed the Smooth Waltz. It was just so pretty!

Those were my favorites as well. I think Lacey's partner is named Kameron (sp?). They are so cute together.

Last night's show rocked. They could do two hours of Mia Michaels choreography, and I'd be just fine with it.

Though I liked the newspaper dance a lot too. And the waltz was a huge suprise, I didn't think they'd pull it off.

I LOVE MIA MICHAELS! The minute I saw her name in the Cirque Du Soleil phamplet I was so pysched to see the show.

She is a WONDERFUL choreographer and she is so intune with emotions and dance its a pleasure to watch anything she choreographed.

I like most of them, I didn't really care for the couple with the taller girl and that crazy looking guy? I don't think they are bad dancers, I just think it was bad partnering.

I can't wait to see the results show tonight!

Re: So You Think You Can Dance

I think that Mia Michael's choreography is probably one of the hardest dances to learn on this show. The dancers really have to capture the emotion and essence of her routines. Lacey I thought did pretty good and Kameron but I really want to see Jessi perform one of her routines.

I think Wade Robson is one of best choregraphers and far as entertainment goes.
Sara and Jesus did really well with his routine.

I really like Hok but I just can't see him doing the Waltz.

I want to see Anya and Pasha do a Shane Sparks routine. I really like them. I know they are not partnered together but I look forward to see more of them.

I missed the last two dances

Bottom two for me last night-Ricky and Ashlee
