Loved it last night. I actually felt sorry for the asian guy (i think his name was aaron) who kept on crying.. guess the stress was getting to him
That was wonderful! Bravo! I loved that! Ah, that was great! Well, it was pretty good. Well, it wasn't bad. Uh, there were parts of it that weren't very good though. It could have been a lot better. I didn't really like it. It was pretty terrible. It was bad. It was awful! It was terrible! Take 'em away! Boo! Boo!
Gordon Ramsay is a legend.

(VERY OLD!) TRIP REPORTS
I love "Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares" when it's on BBC America, where he rescues failing restaurants ande chefs in the UK with his own style of "advice". I don't know how long the show actually ran over there. They keep re-running the same few episodes when it's on here.

Thank you POISONEDAPPLES!
I also watch that show, it's on the food network. Very entertaining, but like Barry said, too many repeats.
This is why I love watching this show.
Chef Ramsay is amazing
LOL! sometimes my kitchen can be Hell
Where is the Red Rock located at? Is it on the strip? My hubby and I are going to Vegas this October we may check it out.
Very cool!![]()
it is off the strip in the summerlin area of the city.. in the northwest (where I live)..
if you find charleston you drive west all the way down (it is almost at the end) if you guys come here.. we will have to meet up.. maybe at the red rock
((it is my favorite place to eat and to gamble))
Saw it last night... I guess I'm more into the actual cooking, but thought
that the contestants on Top Chef were far superior. And the food that they
produced pretty standard (nothing to get excited about). Finally, becoming a chef
at Red Rock is not something that would appeal to me at all.
The Food Network show is slightly different since it's looking for the next Food
Network star, not necessarily the best chef.

Having watched both shows I was struck last night by how much better the quality of contestants are on Top Chef as compared to Hell's Kitchen. I do think Hell's Kitchen is more animated and lively, but I like both shows. I couldn't believe how backstabing folks seemed ALREADY last night on Hell's Kitchen. I'm glad the gal from Waffle House didn't get picked for the bottom two in spite of (what looked like) all the other women suggesting she had no business there because of that fact. She was the only one that got the eggs cooked, seemed like she helped save their collective butts.
I can't believe that I missed it. I'm usually right on top of Hell's Kitchen coming back on. But I saw that they will be showing last night's episode before the new episode next monday.
I love Gordon Ramsey he is so in you face and seeing the reaction of the chef's crack me up, it's like they have never had anyone in their face and they work in the cooking industry.
Can't wait till next week!!!!

"a whole lot of nothin"
Love this show! WAtching the 48 yr old Chinese Cowboy cry all the time is a bit much - and the munchkin with the palette LOL Only Chef Ramsey - I just think what would my signature dish be and that would impress Chef Ramsey?
I just watched it, and I have to say, I was not impressed. Sure, it's fun to see people get yelled at, but is it their first day in a kitchen?
As others have mentioned, Top Chef buries this show. The Chefs at Top Chef have skills, and were more fun to watch then this batch of emotionally unstable weirdos.
Also, being a foodie, I enjoyed Top Chef because you could learn so much about the culinary arts. On HC, you learn nothing, possibly because the contestants don't know anything. The show is also shot and edited to be more of a reality show (crying, complaining, cat fights, etc.) rather then as a talent showcase. I really loved Top Chef, and just seeing all the cool stuff they could do. I was disappointed that you don't learn anything about cooking with HC.
It will be interesting to watch, but so far it's not up their too high.
