The Doctor's back on Sci-Fi starting this Friday!

In case anyone here in the states wanted to know.
"But every night, when it gets dark
    and the stars come out,
I'll look up on her behalf.
I'll look up in the sky and think of you."

    Re: Doctor Who

I've seen the Christmas episode and the one where he meets Martha Jones.

There's a wonderful person on youtube who puts the whole thing on a day or two after it airs in the UK. I them! But, we didn't catch the third episode before it went down and then all we could find was Shakespeare's Code onward.

So we just decided, begrudingly, to wait the three months till it started here rather than miss one.

But it's back this Friday! We've had it on the TiVo list for the last week and a half or so (as far in advance as it'd let us!)

Who's your favorite Doctor out of the 10?

Since I'm still new to the whole series (I'm going back and watching the older ones now.) I'd say David Tennant. But only becasue it's either him or Eccleston.

    but you know,
    Spoiler
this new Master is pretty good too

Excellent! TiVo has a season pass.

My favorite? The guy with the giant coat and the jelly babies. Now I can't remember his name. Tom somebody.
As a teen, I had a huge crush on the blond guy... he was on "All Creatures Great and Small", too. I'm having a terrible time with names tonight. One day I mimicked his outfit to go to school. Poorly imitated, to be sure, but I had a white shirt with red question marks on the collar.

    Baker.

Doctor #4 and I think the only one out of the old series to air on America TV.

Oopps, I forgot to mention my favorite doctor.

    Livingston, no no no.

I would have to say John Pertwee.

    Tom Baker- yes. Doctor #4.

Peter Davison- that's the blond. Doctor #5. Huge crush when I was 14. These aired on PBS in the US.

Jon Pertwee... wasn't he early in the series?

After Davison came Colin... crazy outfit, nutty doctor, and I didn't like him at all though he had a cool umbrella. These initially aired here, too.

After that- dry spell. Until now. Thank the gods it's back!

    Re: Doctor Who

My absolute favorites are Tom Baker, William Hartnell, Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant. And, I even kind of like the 8th one...what's his name? Paul McGann.

1st and 2nd being tied between Tom and David, for sure.

I read the spoiler by accident, I didn't think it was an ACTUAL spoiler.

We've been hoping and hoping since the series restarted they would do that!

I'm excited to see it unfold!

To continue the discussion: Now that we know the fav. Doctors, who are your favorite companions?

I like Romana, but I loooooved Rose. I was sad to see her go.

By the way, Pertwee was third.

Again seeing very little of the original, I would have to say Romana (saw one episode of her second form.) and Sarah Jane....

    wait does K-9 count...

    I love K-9, I want a K-9.

    Re: Doctor Who

K-9!! I love K-9! Who doesn't though? I loved it when the Doctor fixed him up and left him behind for Sarah Jane.

There was one companion that I saw who was pretty useless (aren't most of them though? I mean really.). She was blonde and I don't remember her name. Hmm...

It would help if the earlier episodes on DVD weren't so expensive!
