You're not missing much. But Bravo's Top Chef is an excellent cooking competition that is actually about food (unlike Hell's Kitchen).

Re: Popular TV shows you've never seen

Rather than a huge list of shows I don't watch, here are the ones I do watch:

CSI: all of them. Miami being my favorite. (CBS)
    NCSI (CBS)
    Eureka (Sci Fi)
    Smallville (CW)
    Dirty Jobs (Disc)
    Crab Season (Disc)
    Ice Road Trucker (Hist)
    Dr. Who (Sci Fi)
    Holmes on Homes (Disc Home)
    Extreme Home Makeover (ABC)

And that's about it. As you can see, NBC is nowhere to be found on my watch list. They have nothing of interest to me anymore. Neither does Fox or whatever channel 13 is called now.

There are a ton of great things being made on Iron Chef, sure, since there is now an American version we can recognize more of them, but what they make and experiment with is really fun and interesting.

You left out House and I know you watch that

Fox is our channel 11. I'm not sure what they are calling channel 13 anymore.

Fox also owns Channel 13 now. It's part of something called "my network TV" which Fox has formed for the second channels it has picked up in major markets. So it's called "my 13" (call letters are still KCOP)

Opps. Forgot all about House. Hugh Lawrey was on Jay Leno last night and in real life he is very different than the House character. Looks just like him, but he really has a British accent when he talks. Like Bob Hoskins. They sound so different when playing an American character. He was very funny on Jay Leno last night. I just couldn't stay awake long enough to see the whole interview.

Well, that certainly explains the type of programing being shown on "my 13"

    Thanks, Barry.

Re: Popular TV shows you've never seen

Here are the shows I have not watched:

    Lost
    Heroes
    Grey's Anatomy
    Amazing Race
    CSI: anywhere
    Jerico
    Prison Break
    Deal No Deal
    House
    cold Case
    Weeds
    The Closer
    Monk
    Veronica Mars
    America's Next Top Model
    Bones
    NCIS
    Boston Legal
    Criminal Minds
    Ghost Whisperer
    Las Vegas
    Numb3rs
    Big Brother
    24
    Smallville
    Two and 1/2 Men
    The Bachelor/Bachelorette (no dating shows)
    Ugly Betty
So You Think You Can Dance (no dancing shows)

I really do hear great things about some of these programs, and a few of them seem interesting enough. I just really have a hard time allowing myself to get sucked into new television shows. I guess I am really stubborn, and anti commital when it comes to television. I have about 3 shows I watch regularly, and then fill the space with Law and Order reruns and stuff.

I have a few friends who are suckers for all kinds of TV shows. I am certain they find me frustrating as I cannot follow many TV related conversations. They try to get me hooked on new shows all the time.

I am not really interested in movies either. My husband is lucky to get me to one movie a year that I want to see. Its like the jackpot if I suggest one! We usually just take our daughter to see childrens movies.

    The Bachelor/Bachelorette
    Desperate Housewives
The New Adventures of Old Christine (I WANT to watch, but I forget)

Personally, because MANY of us have not watched ALL of these shows, I think this is actually good, because it means that we're not glued to the TV.....course, because we're on here reporting this, it means we are glued to our computers .

I actually sat through an insane number of episodes of Iron Chef because my grandpa said that my cousin was the sous chef (sp?) for one of the competitors (from Montana). So I sat through and kinda' got into it. Never saw my cousin. Called him up, asked "when is your episode of Iron Chef on?" and he was like "they disqualified us. {main chef, don't know the title} passed out and I finished cooking, but he had to finish and do the majority." Kinda' pissed me off that I watched so much of that show and it's not even very good.

Rachel Ray, I used to watch her but when she became skinny I stopped watching.

I was just actually thinking the same thing! I think we should all be proud of ourselves for not being slaves to all these shows! I was actually surprised when I saw my own list since I thought I watched a lot of TV.

Yeah, I'm going to list shows I do watch. Much easier...

    Heroes
    Survivor
    Amazing Race
    24
    Lost
    Random Food TV Shows
    Deadliest Catch (sig anyone?)
    American Choppers
    WWE
    Startgate Atlantis
    Battlestar Galaticia
